We booked for 2 nights only so we could explore the Sukhothai Ruins (and use the pool the remaining time) and I've never been more disappointed. We arrived around 1pm after not being able to find the place, no locals seem to know it and it isn't signposted, to no one in the hotel. There was a key and note on the desk saying they're out but we can let ourselves in... After finding out room we went out to the pool to find it was unusable - we have stayed in many guest houses around Thailand and really aren't fussy but the pool was filthy and all kinds of rubbish at the bottom of it. At 7.30pm we had a rude lady knock on the door and demand we now check in even though we have been alone in the hotel the whole time. The next morning we were served breakfast with a dead mosquito on the top and stale toast. The woman then disappeared again for the whole day. We were the only guests and I see why!

We stayed two nights with two children in two bedrooms. We didn't meet the owner, but there was a lady. She has been quite nice and helpful, not very smiley. The place is noisy, not extremely clean in the groundfloor and swimming pool area. The beds are hard rock, some rooms do not have windows, there is hardly any isolation. It is a kilometer and half away from the site. It is borderline at walking distance with little children. They don't have children bikes, but you can rent for 30.- bht in front of the site. Not drammatically bad, has potential to be much better.

2 nights at Pinpao for the lantern festival. It is walking distance to the Park. Simple room with good aircon, but rock hard beds - like sleeping on the floor. Owner is delightful, speaks some English and is eager to help. Bikes available to ride around the old city. Pool is gorgeous. Good value.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms are airier.

Ms Poo is running this Guest House and will do everything to make you feel at home. If there is something wrong, just let her know!! Our remote control from the airco was not working, batteries were changed. Hard bed? She put some extra blankets on the mattress...
The pool is great and if you wat to get out of the sun, relax in one of the hammocks.

Simple hotel in very good location, close to old city with swiming pool that is great refreshment after whole day of sightseeing, our daughter loved it so much, that wenstayed here longer thqn planned ;)
Brekfast was very good - omlete plus coconut with honey and bananas served in leaves, really superb. Beds were little hard, but i think it's an issue in all Thailand. Really nice and helpfull owner, in my opinion great place to stay.

Room Tip: Make sure to take room facinf pool and garden on first floor, some rooms on ground floor are blind.
