I was here with my wife in October for a night. The first impression is the zen-style garden at the cental of the guesthouse, along with the so-called living room where every guest could sit and relax.

The room is.. local! Unlike other resort or hotel in the area, Haiku guesthouse is in blend with nature. It's not 5-star hotel with comfort of luxuriousness but hey, who will ever want that in Sangkhlaburi. The room is built with wood (perhaps a bamboo, I'm not sure) and top with dried leaves, enough to protect from rain and insect. There bedding is comfortable and come with a fan and insect prevention net. In short, a comfort without the guilt of nature harm.

The guesthouse owner also own a coffee shop in front of the guesthouse called "Graph Cafe". The coffee is great and the owner is very friendly. They also sell pizza, the only in Sangkhlaburi. Make sure to ask him about local attraction or just for a friendly talk!
