Lovely little garden / coffee shop area before you get to the back, where the rooms are located.

The rooms are a bit 'rustic' - matress on the floor and a (very) small shower / toilet room that feels like the outside inside - although we didn't have any ant/insect problems like others have said. Each room has a small table and chairs or couple of deckchairs for chilling out.

We had a very comfortable stay here, wasn't too far to walk anywhere (beware of the crazy dog at the top of the street if returning in the dark!). Would definitely recommend this peaceful guesthouse - and the fruit smoothies the guesthouse owner makes, delicious!

i was not prepared for how rustic this place would be. the ants in the bathroom, the lack of shelves in the bathroom to put your toiletries (not that i would have since it was open air, and there were ants etc). it was being one with nature, but i like to be prepared for this. the place itself is very cute, it goes for a cluttered look and p'ying is a wonderful woman with tons of knowledge and happy to help out whenever she can.

pros:
fun place with cool decor
awesome host
awesome host who makes awesome coffee
walking distance to the mon bridge (thus the mon village)
they pick you up at the bus station
walking distance from the town (although in the afternoon the heat was brutal so get an umbrella/hat)

cons:
ants in the bathroom, ants in the room BECAUSE It's RUSTIC . it's not dirty
lack of space to put your stuff... you'll have to leave them in your bag or strewn across the bed
the 'breakfast' - this place calls itself coffee berry and the host is great at making coffee, given it is such a small place it would ad so much hospitality if she made her guests the coffee they wanted versus those tasteless sachets. breakfast is toast, condensed milk, coffee sachets and juice, and cookies. no jam no jelly nothing much at all.

i would recommend it by virtue of the host and its location. motorbike shop 7-8min walk away.

I came here with my friend for one night. I felt a little bit like a fairy, because it is so cute designed, with a lot of small and big things to discover.
The owner wasn't here, but she came over after a few minutes. Had a warm welcome, saw the room who was in yellow and fell in love with this place. =)
We slept good, it's calm and you've got air con. Hot shower and good coffee in the morning.
The owner help me out with informations, even for a other guesthouse. I recommend this place for everyone.

Room tip: Romantic and cozy

Coffee Berry is a great little place to stay in Sangkhlaburi. The owners are really helpful and even gave me a lift to a river out of town free of charge. Just the kind of little extras you want. The rooms are nicely furnished with matches, candles, flashlight etc. The rooms are also air-con and equipped with hot water. All in all a great little place to stay.

We didn't actually stay at the guesthouse...didn't know there was one, actually! We stopped in on a whim after seeing other a lot of other ferang eating there as we rode by and figured it might be good. Though it was busy, we were waited on seconds after sitting down and they were happy to bring a citronella candle to ward off the mosquitos by our feet. We ordered the massanan curry, something that's not easy to find in this area but was really authentic and delicious, with just the right blend of coconut sweetness and curry spicyness. Unlike many other places since, we weren't charged extra for rice to go with it. We had a couple drinks and the staff took a photo of us to hang from the rafters as we were leaving. Just a great little spot in a quiet part of town that's worth a visit.
