I don't think the picture which goes with the previous review is the hotel across the street from the train station. That's a joke. The one across from the train station (it takes up the entire corner on the left side as you come out of the station) is locally owned and therefore run accordingly.
I paid 200 baht for a fan room which had a squat toilet (I realized after checking in clearly it wasn't worth that price). There is no wi-fi, nor open wi-fi in the area you can hook onto. The room itself I had no problems with - no cockroaches though there were a few small holes which the mosquitos got in by. Good cold shower, typical firm mattress and you get soap and toilet paper upon check-in. However, the owner and his friends have no respect or forethought of the fact that it's a hotel and were up until 1am shouting at each other in the lobby. When I asked what time they were going to bed, of course I got the proverbally, "okay okay." Their voices were loud even thru my silicone earplugs. I'm really giving this a 2.5 score for lack of sleep I got.
