services shall be a bit more improved

3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Aug 20, 2012
It was a lovely decor in the room I and my friend stayed over a few nights. We had room at the ground floor. I loved it ambient the most. The hotel does locate by Pai River. We could hear the steam flow over the nice, which was so romantic and that's really awesome, I give credits to the Nature in surrounding areas.Room we stayed was clean and neat, cozy and comfy. It did give us the refresh stay. Plus it's in a walk distance to walking street, some night out places and numbers of the restaurants we can choose for each of our meals.
A little minus on their services. They shall improve a little bit more in details of services esp in the ARTS of interfacing/interacting with/to the customers. They shall have some staffs conference done at least once a month. So they can talk about their Policies, how to enforce policies to customers and how to inform/treat the customers in the very direct but utmost polite ways, which would not let customers down in the end.
Date of stay: July 2012
Room Tip: room which faces the river is the most romantic for us.If you can reserve for the second floor it...

July is part of the quiet season for this area of Thailand. Tempratures are mid 20's C! evening's are mild and a little rain now and then. the hotel des artiste is a wonderfull example of less is more!
fantastic setting - minimal rooms -12? i think. staff on hand when needed or just in background. Set at the end of walking street it is easy to traverse the small town from here. very cool boutique /guest house. bonus is the great live music scene to be found. already booked to come back.

Room tip: all good as small and peacefull

Beautiful small boutique hotel on a perfect location in Pai. Rooms are stylish. We were staying in a river view room which I would recommend. There was a nice terrace with views over the river and hills. Breakfast is served till 5pm and you can choose from a wide selection of breakfast offers. As the price paid for the room was not cheap, I did expect some more personal service. They forgot a simple request, and upon check-out they just took our roomkey without asking whether we liked our stay. Staff can make thedifference andf therefore I will just rate this hotel as average.

This is a popular hotel, so it's probably wise to book early. Met at the airport as arranged. Lots of character, good food. Stayed in a ground floor riverside room with terrace. Expected mosquitoes, but it's a fast-flowing river and, at least in June, they stayed away. Pai is hippy, and in high summer seems to be taken over by backpackers with tents. Booked a driver and did the hot springs, "Grand Canyon" (unusual geological feature), local temple, and famous cafe featured in a romantic Thai film. Great coffee and cake, lovely location.

Room tip: Rooms 4 and 5 are the ground floor riverside rooms.

I booked this hotel as I used to stay once at Hotel des Artists Khaoyai and it was such a lovely place so it was not a difficult decision at all to try this lovely place in Pai and I must said that it was all worth it.

We flew from Chiangmai and indeed had arranged a transportation to pick us up but there was no one came so we made a quick phone called to the hotel and they immediately sent us a driver with "saleng" which was a cool ride we actually like it! Khun Neng (a gentleman staff) greeted us with friendly attitude and did apologise about the pick up and did upgrade us the next room category as for service recovery. This was very impressive, not because of room upgraded but because the way the staff reacted and solved the problem. I would never ever ask for free room upgrade as honestly speaking I also came from hospitality industry but the most touching point is how he treated to us from the point onwards throughout the stayed till checked-out has been always very prompted. Indeed all staffs are also nice and friendly. This has proven well of good service mind Thai hospitality which you will never ever forget.

The hotel itself is beautiful and lovely! Very unique contemporary style of decorations yet still feel the touch of Pai and Thai spirit. Location is great as at the end of walking street which is very convenient to go around. Breakfast is amazing, and its not about the quantity but the quality it is!

If I ever get a chance to visit Pai again this place would definitely be the only choice without any hesitation!!!

We stayed for 2 nights. A really lovely place and we had the luck to get one of the two riverside rooms in the first floor. Beautiful view from the balcony! Only problem was the reservation by the internet. They request to pay 50% of the room rate iwhen booking which seems to be unusual to us. We mentioned this to the manager and he said that they would alternatively accept the credit card number as a confirmation for the booking.
