Stayed one night here while travelling back through Nong Khai from Laos as wanted somewhere with a few extra comforts to unwind. Glad to see a pool and a clean room, service from the moment we checked in was not very good, no DVD in the room despite the lady at counter upselling us to a room with dvd. when we asked if we could get one from another room or move rooms we were denied. Another couple we me had a similar problem, but they had no tv, we were also approached by the lady at reception to tell us we could not drink alchohol brought in from outside, while drinking the drinks ordered from room service.

but it is overpriced compared to others on offer along the riverside. It is advertised as including breakfast in the Rough guide but that must have changed as it was 150 baht for what was half the price sat along the river. Rooms are ok and yes the wifi worked well too. Nice restaurant right facing the hotel, forgot the name.We stayed on a high floor at the back above the pool which we did use every afternoon, it was a blessing in the heat, a good point for the place.

Not as bad as some reports I have seen here but I would try the places on the riverside first.

Stayed her last year. This has to be one of the most overpriced dumps in Thailand. I met many foreigners who felt the same and were annoyed that they had paid for a few nights up front. The hotel insists on money up front, probably because customers would check out after one night. Hotel seems to be used by locaql bar girls for taking their customers back to. Food was overpriced too. Thai food that they were charging 150bt for could be obtained elsewhere for a lot less than half the price. The buffet breakfast had very little choice too.

Room Tip: Don't. Go elsewhere.

We arrived late, a last resort hotel, after discovering our bus had left without us. On the half hearted suggestion of a 7-11 employee, we went to Pantawee hotel.

The hotel is hard to miss, as the sign is aglitter with an array of 70s-inspired neon lights as if we just arrived at a brothel in Reno. The similarity is not a coincidence. The hotel is a decaying, but living monument for the thriving industry of the sex-trade.

And what a monument it is. If there is one thing to admire about this hotel, is it's sheer size. It is a sprawling complex of concrete cells, a veritable labyrinth of hotel rooms. Our staff kindly led us to our room, through a back alley, for without his help, there is no possibility we would have found our way. God help us leaving this place.

The rooms have what they advertise. A/C. Hot-ish water. A bed. There is even a TV, blaring karaoke the moment you walk in for you to croon your way into your nightwalker's heart. But it is swarming with mosquitos. We have no standing water in the room, so I can only assume they live off pools of the tears left behind. And in the room is a stifling malaise, as if the dreams broken here have decided to stay and haunt the grounds.

But hey, at least they even provide a computer in the room, on which I write this review!

Room Tip: Don't bring a black light unless you're investigating a crime.

I stay at this hotel with my family, on a regular basis and nothing has changed. A great hotel, right in the middle of NongKhai city centre. The hotel offers rooms to suit every budget and every room has a computer, with 24hr internet access for free. The staff are absolutely fabulous and make you feel right at home, especially if you have a family. The rates are from 500thb up to 3000thb for the penthouse and if you can afford it, your money is well spent, it has a fabulous bed and jacuzzi and stunning views. The food in this hotel is excellent and the value for money is 100 percent. The hotel is located in the center of NongKhai, so you don't have to travel too far by foot, to see the sights. The staff make you feel like your staying in a 5* hotel and don't forget they have a swimming pool. I am very critical of hotels, especially in Thailand, but this is the real deal. If you decide to stay at this hotel, book on the hotels own website and you'll often receive a discount, or you can book on arrival, I have never been charged a higher rate or told that specific rates were on promotion, this hotel is seriously the real deal.

Room Tip: It's down to your budget, every room is excellent value for money.

I slept well here. Was rather difficult to locate as the main street is all closed down currently for construction.
As another reviewer mentioned, I also had the night manager offer me some local women.
Having a 24 hour bar/restaurant was nice.
you are located just a few blocks from the Mekong River also. Many places within walking distance of the hotel.....So Good location !
