My wife and I stayed for three nights but could easily have stayed for more! Having been staying in the Chinatown area of Bangkok for a few days we badly needed some peace and sanity. Travelling to HHH it was clear this was going to be a different part of our holiday entirely, the roads became smaller, the traffic less. We were welcomed to HHH and into Chris and Areeyas family life and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had wanted to learn more about the Thai way of life and both Chris and Areeya were always happy to explain - whether it be the workings of the temples, what is being grown and how it is used or how to cook Thai food. Areeya's mother even let us try some of her home made chilli sauce (I would recommend caution at this point!). Chris took us out on a cycling tour of some of the local farms and kayaking to a local market and Chinese temple. We even had our first Thai massage at the local hospital. (They take your blood pressure before the massage !).

Top tip - we travelled out of Bangkok by taxi via the floating market (only open Saturday and Sunday until 1600) - Chris kindly arranged a local taxi to come into Bangkok and collect us, take us to the market, collect us from the temple and the take us to HHH, all for much less than the hotel in BKK was quoting us just to take us to HHH. And it all helps the local community.

The food was as spicy as you wanted - I graduated to around 5 chilli level, the Thais will use more like 70 so I have a way to go!

So if you are interested in understanding something of the country you are visiting, their ways and traditions, the working of traditional Thai villages and if you also want some peace and quiet, then this is the place for you. We would love to return and will be recommending it to everyone we talk to!

This gem lies 1.5 hour from Bangkok airports, but in our mind it was worth it even for 24 hours. As we have been in Bangkok many times we were looking for a quite relaxing place, and this was perfect, Amazing to think these rice fields, river and quiet are so close to the huge city. Chric and Areeya are indeed amazing hosts, willing to do it all to accommodate every need, adults and children alike. Our kids loved the kayaks, bikes, walks, garden and playing with Mathew their son. Food was good, all was good, and we definitely plan to go back for longer stays.

Beautiful, peaceful and rejuvenating. Chris and Areeya are most wonderful, hospitable and very knowledgeable hosts. I planned on staying only a night, but ended up staying 4 nights. I was greatly entertained with plenty activities to choose from. I highly recommend this guest house.

Thanks so much for our wonderful stay with you and letting us experience the Thai countryside and people, you were very kind and fun!
We particularly enjoy..... everything, but the kayak to restaurant across the river, and the wonderful floating market.
Meeting local people and family and the agriculture trip down the river are all highlights for us.
We would love to return again.
kind regards
Trish

Room Tip: We looked at all rooms and they are all excellent
