“A bit hidden but good choice otherwise”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

This is a small hotel, a bit hidden in a small road perpendicular to the main road in Lopburi. We stayed just one night after having enjoyed watching the monkeys at the temples down town. The hotel is simple but comfortable, rooms are large and price can't be better. The staff is very friendly and we got a European style breakfast included. Perfect if you are touring Thailand on your own and need to stay here just one night.

I stayed here for 3 weeks and known everyone here, they are fantastic services and will help you every thing they can...
Benjatara is a newest hotel in Lopburi, room including breakfast for 2 and let me tell you, FOODS are yummy and better taste than the most expensive restaurants in town, Don't miss it!
Front desk services and PR so sweet and friendly, only thing is, They cannot speak English well but they are so helpful and I love them!
Rooms! I stayed in VIP room, big space, bed to hard for me but good for my back, the reason I stayed in VIP room because are only rooms with no steps ( no elevator ) my Mom cannot used step. The furnitures and the decorations too dark for me !
Overall! I will be back again!

Room Tip: I love higher floors prefer face to parking lot than the field side (smell of Animal things)

When I got the taxi here, my thought was that it is so far from the old city. But it is Easily gotten to the old city with the 8 baht bus...just go out to the main road and catch a bus on the other side of the road. You will be traveling to the right when you get on the bus.If you turn left at the main road you can get to a big C in a short walk. The staff does not speak English much so you are pretty much on your own here if you don't speak Thai. That said they did arrange a taxi into town for me and he was very helpful (and a staff person from the hotel). Rooms look to a green yard and back to the mountains. I had lots of birds singing when the door to the balcony was open. Nice rooms and they still have a nice breakfast that comes with the price of the room ( a rarity these days!)

Room clean and big enough, bathroom a bit cramped and yet another electric instant water heater that never produce enough water for a decent shower. Hotel was very hard to find and most.signs just in thai language, however the boss came out in his car to show us the way there. Breakfast not to my taste but when I asked for.fruit they.specially cut some for me. Generally ok for one night.

If you do not have heavy luggage, stay away from the VIP rooms on the ground floor. As there may be noisy guests coming from the hotel Karaoke disturbing you. Apart from some bad guests (depending on your luck), the hotel is very cheap, good air conditioning system, hot water, wifi, fridge, clean with good staff. The owner is often at the front desk if he is available.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms on the ground floor.

The room was cheap, clean and of ok size, but the bathroom felt ill conceived. the water from the shower flowed into the toilet area, the toilet was pushed near the wall.
The main problems are the location (way out of the main atractions area) and the almost completely non english speaking staff.
Advice: if you do decide to book here, there are buses to the main city, a sort of red pickup truck witch costs 8 bht.

Benjatara was a great hotel. The staff was very nice and the restaurant was delicious! The hotel room was very comfortable and the decor was very nice. We were a little ways away from places we wanted to go, but quickly figured out the very affordable minibus transportation that most of the locals used and were able to get around quickly.
