“The monkey hotel”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2014

Situated some way from the centre of the city - where the real moneys are - this hotel has chosen to have plaster monkeys everywhere - dressed as waiters , as guests, as Santa Claus whatever. The location is not bad - just off the highway number one.
The suite is spacious, but the lights did not all work, the bathroom is in need of some repair work, the outsides of the windows are filthy. The pool area seems inviting but on closer inspection (we went for a swim) the bottom of the pool has rather a lot of sediment, the chairs are not really too clean and the toilet facilites are not espacially clean.
The staff at the reception were friendly and in the dining room also. Since we only had some beer during the local karaoke evening on Saturday we cannot comment on the food.
Overall not bad value for moiney.

This hotel is located in the new city - well away from the monkeys which is not a bad thing. You can catch the red sorngtaaou between the new city and the old city anyway. The room and bathroom were really spacious - but in need of updating and a good clean!! There was a pool too - which could also have done with a clean. The hotel was really strange – there were large monkey statues at the front of the hotel and also all around the pool and restaurant area. At first glance the restaurant and pool area looked really busy – until you looked closer and saw that it was the monkey statues wearing strange painted on outfits!! The breakfast buffet was really lavish with lots of Asian options. When you consider the price - THB990 - it's ok for the money and the best value option that we could find in Lopburi.

This is a small property with average staff and management. The rooms offered clean sheets, but the rooms were not up to scratch with air conditioning or the state of repair in the bathrooms. The dining room was average, though it was evident the staff tried hard to offer the best they could. Karaoke lasted till late in the night. We - a party of fifteen that I led - were invited to sing on but after a day on the bus this would have been too much.

Room Tip: This is about the best you can get in and around Lopburi. Ask for non smoking rooms

Loburi inn resort in-need management badly. their employees needs attitudes adjustment.
time and time again and again especially l the restaurant portion. The employee has little or no manners, for example, my hands are full and walking up to my table and one of the employee walks by, the path is narrow between chairs. What did the waitress do, she just stood there and look at you and expect you to move out of their way. and the attitude that's being project from all of there employee is "we don't need customer, but customers needs us), They will talk bad about the customers and not really cares who is listening. One morning I was having my breakfast, there was one group of European tourist left the table, it wasn't all that messy, one of the waitress made a remarks in Thai that literally translated to English was quite shocking to me was "what a Euro trash" Immediately thoughts came to my mind was, Well I am not European, I am a Thai, I didn't get treated well either. So I sum up as they just don't like their customers. The overall establishment itself needs some kind of management. I have been staying in this place for over 10 years on/of average of 2-3 times/years, 1-4 weeks durations. It has never change. I just wish they have more competitions. Facility itself is not all that clean either, the toilet Oder is part of the rooms.

Spent a bit of time this year in and out of Lopburi for business so did the full recon for the best hotel in town. This motel unfortunately is as good as it gets. Enduring maintenance not a strong point but linen and rooms clean. Almost creepy with the amount ceramic/concrete monkeys adorning every space of the hotel ranging from 2ft high to 14ft high with way too much anatomical detail. I know Lopburi is the monkey town but just too much. There is a fantastic restaurant Baan Jao Nai right across the road and the price tag for and wonderfully friendly and warm hotel staff make this hotel the only option in town.

Room Tip: Just ask for the best room (only $35 AUD and not one with night light outside your room

This hotel is located in lopburi province where you can find all monkey there. Nice resort but a bit far from town. If you would like to stay there then rent a car would be great. Good value for money.
