“Great food. Clean. Insanely cheap.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2012

Great little place filled with locals. Sit on the 2nd floor terrace for a view of he street or sit downstairs and watch he crazy action in the open kitchen. The LP guide says its embarrassingly cheap and its true. Our meal of steamed fish, stir fried morning glories, stir fried veggies, rice and stir fried noodles was only 170 baht / $6!

“Nice place to have a nice meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2012 via mobile

I am really surprised by the last 2 evaluations. We were there on the 3rd of December and we had a really good meal in a nice place, on the terrace. The food was good, we took rice with chicken, curry some vegetables and also noodles with porc and vegetables. the waiters were really nice and I think that as the restaurant was really crowded during the time we were there, this place is good restaurant.

“Cleanliness level - ZERO!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2012

After reading rave reviews of this restaurant from our Lonely Planet guide we made a beeline here for dinner. We were greeted with very rushed and unfriendly staff. The menu was huge - too big for each dish to be done well. Our food arrived crawling with bugs, a mixture of both live and dead ones, and was served on dirty plates. Staff did nothing to resolve this so we paid and left with no one paying any attention. So many other nice places to eat in the area - I would recommend you bypass this one, and ignore the crowds of locals that mysteriously seem to like this place.

“Delicious, fast, fresh, friendly, busy, affordable and with an English menu to boot!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2012

After finding boring western menus at the few other places with English menus, and being a little fatigued from pointing and gesturing to order, we ended up here both nights that we stayed in Lampang.

The menu was extensive. I don't think there are any noodle dishes that I recall, but other than that, there is a lot to choose from. Most plates are small, so I think we were able to put away five dishes between two women. It was a few months ago, so I don't remember everything we ate, but I remember that the snakehead fish tom yum was good, as were a couple of morning glory dishes. Anything with pork was tasty, of course, and I think we had a pretty yummy tofu dish, too.

The place is full of young locals eating throughout the evening. You write down your dishes on little slips of paper, and your order appears within minutes from the busy open-air kitchen.

Order the large bucket of ice, and enjoy it in a glass of Singha with your meal, which might run you all of 200-300 for two people with beer.
