Good value for money, basic, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, in a nice neighbourhood and garden

This hotel was a big surprise to us. The price is very good considering what you get. The hotel is located in the old neighbourhood with historic sites a few minutes away by bike. Bikes are available from the hotel.
The hotel is very colourfull with rooms surrounding a garden with a pond. The wifi is free and worked fine in our room, breakfast was not included but can be ordered the night before (100B). You choose from a couple of set menus which breakfast you want to have. Coffee, tea and bananas were complementary and available 24/7.
Our room was very spacious, clean and had a balcony overlooking the lush garden, minibar and aircondition. Staff is very friendly and helpfull; they made a print free of charge and called to the trainstation to check if our train was delayed which it was so we had some extra time to explore the neighbourhood. We went to the house on 116 poles, just a block away (Baan Sao Nak).
This is a two star hotel probably because of the basic decoration of the rooms, but we think it’s worth three stars.

i was so happy to find this place. After working on a project in noisy bangkok for two weeks, this was the perfect place to relax for a few days. Everyone in town is friendly and helpful, but Mr. Too at Auangkham resort made our visit very memorable. In addition to providing outstanding service, he has a great sense of humor, and made us feel at ease. It's easy to walk into town for sightseeing, food, etc. The breakfast offered is nice, but very simple. i understand that there are a lot of market/street food breakfast options available in Lampang, so i think that's why the options here are limited and not included in the room price. however, since the garden is so beautiful - i wanted to linger there every morning.

The A/C broke in our room on on our last day and couldn't be fixed, but since they had some vacant rooms, the staff had us sleep in another room, and didn't make us move our luggage.

Rooms were clean, beds were comfy. Garden was beautiful as I mentioned above, and the open-air lobby area, with its pieces of vintage furniture gave it a bit of hip, quirky character.

This is a new resort and they've purposely kept it 'boutique' style. There has been a lot of care and love gone into the grounds with so many varieties of plants. I was not well when I arrived which is a shame because the resort was on a very nice street that would have been good for cycling, walking etc...nice old style homes, some ruins and even a sidewalk! But the fact I wasn't well meant I spent most of my time in my (good value) room. The peacefulness of the yard from the balcony was a blessing to me. The manager was a friendly and sincerely helpful man, proud of what he'd created.

Room tip: I enjoyed being up top looking over the pond and listening to the clacking of the palm hedge.
