My third time in Koh Tao with my besties.I decided to choose The Tarna align resort from the islander thailand promotion. We have a group of three and stay in grand pool access with sunset view. We enjoyed a great time and swimming on the private pool which is right in front of our balcony. Would recommend if you cone with a big group to then you can choose the connecting room and the pool will be all yours.all the staffs in bf / reception / japanese restaurant is great

This resort is stunning and the pools are awesome!
It is in the hills therefor there are lots of steps and no elevator, for us we did not mind.
We stayed at Tarna for 6 nights and had the breakfast buffet included in our stay. The food was ok except the room to eat is open and hot and if you get there past 9 there are lots of flies.
Nice choice of smoothies, fresh fruits and egg station. The service is friendly and helpful.
The hotel does not offer any amenities such as laundry or a gym but both are within a 5 minute walk. I posted a photo as to where to get laundry done. It’s just over $1.00 for a kilo of laundry. walk out of hotel and it’s just across the street from the gym. You can rent scooters and it’s highly recommended to get insurance with it. This is one of the few places we found that rent like this.
Right near here is a supermarket as well.
We had a few dinners and lunches all were tasty!
You must order the curry pizza as it is the best i’ve eaten in the world andI lived in Italy!
I did the scuba clas but did not complete it as for me personally i thought it was too rushed.
Unfortunately I can not recommend their cooking class.. It was more of a demonstration. I didn’t even get the ingredients for the curry paste not did i get to make the curry paste . It was expensive and i never did get the actual recipes for my dishes. For 1 hour with no recipe booklet and little english interacted it was a bit of a letdown as i checked into other ones and they were a lot less and 3 hours long. It is not their specialty.
Manissa the hotel manager is absolutely great. She will help accommodate anything you need and offer advice where to go. The servers and bartenders at night such as Koo Koo , Fang, and the daytime pool bartender (sorry can’t remember his name) all made our stay worth while.
There is a fire show on Friday nights at the beach that we highly recommend.
We got the king jacuzzi suite and loved the tub.
There was a bit of miscommunication or something with the room being cleaned every other day as well items not replenished in the room. you need to ask for 2 keys as 1 must stay in the slot to keep your room cool otherwise it will take at least an hour to cool your room.
We did think the hotel was beautiful but for the value of money we payed$165 per night in the off season. With no amenities we found that pricey.

Loved our stay at this beautiful resort! Location was convenient enough, there is shuttle to sairee beach area. Breakfast was quite good, staff was very helpful! Clean and nice rooms, amazing pool areas (especially the ones used for pre-diving training). Would highly recommend this place :)
