“Best different vacation: jostle free!!!”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

We spend our vacation on Koh Samui and had a very relaxing 4 day cruise with Alf and Joy. Island Cruises helped us with the transfer arrangement from Koh Samui to Koh Tao, everything went very smooth! They are well organized and flexible and we could plan the trip to get the best out of it. We enjoyed the ease and privacy because we visited the nice spots in Ang Thong National Park before or after the huge tourist boats where there. Snorcheling on Koh Tao was great. The food onboard was excellent and our daughter took a cooking class with Joy, they got along very well. Our son learned a lot about sailing and navigating the seas from Alf. It was a very relaxing vacation that we will memorize forever.

Was a birthday present and can't imagine a better way of celebrating. Very nice cruise, cool Captain - thank you, Alf!

“spoiled for life”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

After cruising through the Angthong archipelago for 3 nights with Alf and Joy I don't think I'll ever be able to share a beach with anyone else ever again. Captain Alf got us in and out of the most beautiful spots and waking to deserted beaches and islands is a truly spectacular experience.

We traveled with our children (ages 9 & 11) and it was a huge learning experience for all of us to learn to switch off and enjoy the journey.

Alf and Joy went beyond our expectations with personal tours and special food requests. We always felt safe and in good hands.

The boat is basic, and truthfully we were happy to check into a hotel afterwards and watch a bit of TV in the air-conditioning, but being on the boat was so exhilarating and invigorating that I already miss it.

“A lovely time sailing and snorkling...”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

My girlfriend and I have been backpacking and spent some time on Koh Tao, loved the island. So when my family arrived for a holiday on Samui we were keen to get them across to Tao. We only had one day and had to get the ferry across in the morning so could only take up the half day option with Island Cruises.
It was a great choice and everybody had a really lovely day! Al was a great captain/host and let us tailor the sailing trip to our wishes; we did some sailing and then got to a nice snorkling spot. To have such flexibility on only a 4 hour trip made the day perfect!
It was good fun having a go at sailing and we managed to get the yacht banked right over until water flowed on board!

“A brilliant experience”
Reviewed December 14, 2012

My family, friends and myself (10 people in total) booked this cruise in Dec 12. I emailed Alf (one of the business partners) regarding the price and availability of the trip, and I had a reply within the hour.

at 09000 h on the day of the cruise, we were met by a taxi and one of the business partners at our accommodation and driven to the pier, where we met Alf, who transferred us to his beautiful, well maintained yacht. After a quick brief we were soon underway. Everyone was able to either relax, take the helm, or assist with hoisting the sails.

Alf took us to some lovely spots around the island for snorkeling and a bit of lunch. The lunch was prepared on board and was to die for - we could not get enough of it. On the way back to the anchorage, more food was forthcoming. Beer and wine was available for purchase on-board.

Every member of the trip truly enjoyed the day. I think that if we didn't need to get back, Alf would have happily kept sailing and entertaining all night. We just wish that we were here longer so that we could experience the voyage to Ang Thong. The hospitality was first-class and a day of cruising is highly recommended to anyone who visits the island... it is a great way to see the sights.
