Lofty views, cool breezes, great food, lush atmospheric music, so nice. Favorite restaraunt so far on Koh Tao. Got here an hour before sunset, which was perfect. Also, the road here really wasn't as "tough" as described. No problem on a basic scooter with reasonable driver skills and common sense.

This place has the most stunning views, you go up to the first floor/roof area, have a beer and watch the world go by. You can see the coral reef from here and the bay is simple stunning. The place its self if fairly difficult to get to but to be honest its well worth is, wonderful.

The views are very good as most people say. The rooms are rustic and basic, but that's the atmosphere of the resort.

The restaurant- we ate here once for dinner and the food was very nice. Had two mains (grilled fish) and four beers. Total came out to over 1,000 bhat, so it is quite pricey.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a positive experience.

So why only 3 stars? It is tucked away and difficult to get to. There is free pickup and drop off service when you check in/out, which is nice, however we were quoted various prices to get into town by various staff. One time it was 150 (OW) for both of us and another time it was 200 (to the same location). The taxi driver that works with the hotel told us they have a special price with the resort and he would take us for 150 one way. Since this is the price we were originally quoted, we got a ride back to blue heaven one night and when we arrived he said it was 300 because there were two of us. This is neither the price he originally said nor the prices quoted by the hotel staff. This experience was frustrating as I would like to think the hotel staff and drivers would have some consistency as everyone has agreed on a "special price"

Another issue was the breakfast. It is standard (as expected) however we both had the muesli and the yogurt was warm and we ended up getting sick soon after. Not the best when you want to lay out on the beach and enjoy the sunshine.

If you have a scooter (and are a very experienced driver!) then I think this place would be good for you. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you are only taking taxis...stay closer to town.

I got there and it was raining heavily. the resort probably was not prepared for such heavy rain. The bathroom- well, it was raining inside the bathroom as the water leaked through the roof. I was not sure if I will make it through the night. Location is remote and no phones at the bungalow or wifi that you can get in touch with the outside world. Also, there is no cell service!

So the main reason you book is because its a beautiful view, however its far from the main party area if that's your forte. If you're looking to relax this place was pretty nice. The people were very friendly and would give us a ride to where we wanted out of courtesy. Food was fantastic. Drinks were amazing. I'm giving 5* because I enjoyed my time and the people work hard and deserve the 5* the one thing that annoyed me and bothered me was. They only had a fan in the room which isn't too bad when you sleep but I get hot easily. So I was sweating hard. The last thing is the bugs... The first night me and my friend got a bit drunk and I sat on the balcony smoking a cigarette. My friend went to chill inside. I looked down and notice about 100 ants just running on the floor so I get up. Turn my flashlight on and notice on the door that there were about 7000ants maybe more clumped up on the wood parts of the door. Luckily I bought a gallon of water before we came to blue heaven and I was outside trying to remove them because I didn't want them infesting the room or my bags and belongings. It took me 40minutes to be satisfied and not worry about bugs getting in. Now the bathroom needs some construction work. There is a 1 1/2 inch gap that is kinda connected to outside which I think they should fill with cement.I came home one night partied up and as I use the bathroom I notice a centipede, at first I thought it was 2 inches but as I looked from a better angle. I notices it was like 9inches and it ran into the bedroom before I could kill it. Some time later I guess it let on its own because I gave up looking for it. However this is a poisonous centipede and can be very harmful to children causing death. For adults its an excruciating pain for 4-5 days increasing heart rate and complicates breathing which can lead to death. So make sure to do a full scan of the whole place. Top to bottom literally. If you see lizards let them be they are harmless and will kill pests like mosquitoes spiders flies and maybe centipedes haha.
