We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon in August and loved it - Koh Tao is also an island paradise and we are desperate to go back again for more diving. We stayed in one of the deluxe villas which are built into the hillside, and although not super-sleek-modern, the villa was clean, perfectly well-equipped and had a lovely rustic charm to it. The view out over the sea was spectacular and we enjoyed evenings on the front balcony listening to the sea, watching the sunset. Breakfast is served in their restaurant on the edge of the cliff and there was plenty of choice, from cooked breakfast, omelettes, fruit, cereal etc. A particular highlight was going to the hotel's private beach, Jansom Bay, where we could snorkel (no fins, as it kills the coral), swim out to the rafts, have a massage, climb over rocks, and relax on the sun-lougers with a book in one hand and a cocktail from the bar at the back of the beach in the other. Only word of warning, is that as this resort is built into a steep hillside, I would not recommend this for anyone with mobility issues - it is quite a steep climb up to reception and down to Jansom Bay - although it was a perfect way to work off a big breakfast on the way to a day relaxing on the beach!
