We booked a luxury bedroom for 4pax, the room is quite big and comfortable but the decoration is really old fashioned same for the pool. The worst point is the employees they are rude and not helpfull at all. And we have been charged for a broken glass. The only good point is the location with a beach access. You can definitely find better in Koh Tao

We stayed in the "beach zone" for 7 nights. The hotel is far from a standard you would expect from a hotel with three stars. The rooms need a big renovation. Our "superior" room was a huge disappointment and we ended up changing room three times. The hotel wasn't able to provide a better room for us.
First room was just plain filthy. There was mould, dust, dirt and it was generally unclean. The bathroom was nasty. The second room was a bit better, but during the first night there was a rat in our room. The night was very unpleasant.
We asked for a new room, but the filthy room we had first was the only option at that time. We ended up there. The air-condition didn't work, there was mould in the ceiling and water was dropping from it. During the night-time lizards came in to the bathroom from a hole in the wall. The bathroom drain didn't work either and when you took a shower the water just stayed in the floor for about an hour. There was also huge worms that came from the sink or drains.
Some of the hotels housekeepers were rude and clearly very unmotivated about their job. They didn't clean the room properly.
We are usually not very demanding, but it seemed that everything went wrong in this hotel. I still have to say that the location and surroundings are great! They made our rat and mould suffering bearable.

We are travelling South East Asia, and decided to treat ourselves as 1600 baht for a standard room is not exactly cheap....but we really wish we had just slept on the beach outside. We arrived to find the room full of flies (and I mean at least 50 of the little blighters) , but not normally people to make a fuss we decided to deal with this problem ourself.....and a lot of swatting later, we had dealt with most of them. Clearly other people had a similar problem, as the dead ancestors of our victims were smeared across the walls!

On the plus side, wi-fi is good, and the pool area is quite nice.

The service is absolutely terrible though. The female receptionists will stand chatting to their mates, while you stand at the counter until you are forced to state the obvious and tell them that you want to be served. We ordered a taxi and made it clear that we needed it for 6.30am as we had to be in sairee by 7am for a dive. She initially said she couldn't do it till 7am.....so we said that unless she could organise it for 6.30am we would make alternative arrangements....and suddenly the 6.30am pick up was possible.......only it wasn't, and after taking our money clearly she clearly arranged it for 7am, as the next morning, after it didn't turn up, and with no one to speak to at reception we had to hitch a lift (2 of us on the back of a scooter) into sairee, making the boat by seconds. On our return the same receptionist claimed to have no recollection of our booking, perhaps buoyed by the fact we could not initially find our receipt. When we did, after a number of phone calls, our money was returned, but with no apology. Pressed on why it had not arrived, she suddenly could not understand a word we were saying, despite having checked us in using perfect English the previous day. Her male friend behind the counter glared at us throughout.

We did not require our room to be cleaned during our stay, but expected that the veranda facing the main path in the resort might be cleared of bottles.

The restaurant is criminally over-priced compared to the rest of chalok beach, and the food does not justify the price.

Do yourself a massive favour.....do not stay here!

We stayed in a standard room moments from the beach. The room was very clean and the air conditioning and free wi-fi were very much appreciated. This hotel is on the quieter end of the island (compared to Sairee beach), but there are still plenty of great restaurants and things to see.

Downsides included the compulsory NYE dinner (2000 baht for a very average meal, and no included drinks), the bathroom was particularly smelly and the walls paper thin between adjacent rooms.

Really nice stay. Friendly staff helped us around on the island. In the room i asked for a mosquito net the cleaning lady's wanted to help me to hang it on the selling. ON the last day we could wait at the resort and use a other bungalow after check out time to take a show and fresh up our self.
Its a beautiful location the rooms are simple but comfortable and clean we had the cheapest bungalow. The value that you get for your money is good. In overall a great stay over here.

We stayed in a deluxe beach zone room for two nights after leaving some seriously budget accommodation. The resort was all it had stated in the advert and we were so pleased to be in a comfortable bed with air con and a hot shower. We moved on after two days but after seeing the location of the new place we returned and spent 5 nights in a beach zone bungalow that was just as nice! Chalok bay is gorgeous with lots to do, we highly recommend staying there.

Stayed here for two nights we stayed in (beach zone) mountain view garden bungalow. They really weren't worth the money, the rooms weren't great and have been travelling around for a month and this is not bad but I paid 1000 baht when really it's only worth 500!! went to open the big windows and they was all dirt and mould inbetween the net and window :( . It's by no means the worse but me and my partner were treating ourselves and didn't really feel like a treat. There was no view just lots of trees( Shame really).
The only good thing was the infinity pool and it is right by the beach. The restaurant food was reasonable (same same)!
I would come back here again but only if I could afford to stay in the paradise zone or one of the bungalows by the beach.
The area was amazing though and very close to other bays. Quiet and relaxing! Really nice atmosphere
