“Hidden Gem, highly recommended.”

This is a real foodies restaurant, the chef definitely knows his onions! We ate a red snapper in a ginger and mushroom sauce and a monster prawn koh pad thai, and some duck fat chips for badness... The ingredients were so perfectly balanced that we both ordered desserts which were equally good. We didn't eat here till our last night which was a real pity because we would have definitely returned. It's quite hard to find (particularly as there are no maps on any website we could find) but we managed with a bit of help from locals. Chapeau Chef!

“Great location but difficult to get to”
Reviewed October 12, 2013 via mobile

This is a restaurant that you will only find if you are looking for it. It sits in a perfect spot perched on the cliff right at the water's edge. Fortunately they provide a free transfer to and from the restaurant. The last 500 meters of the drive is bone rattling as the driver negotiates some very steep and narrow tracks. Once there you can relax and admire the view. At night time, the water' edge is lit up and you can see across the bay to a bustling beach front town. The service was absolutely perfect - very attentive and genuine. The food was good. The menu is small but the ingredients were fresh and well prepared. We had the tuna tartare and the Vietnamese rolls. Followed by a main course of red snapper and lamb. The wine selection is equally narrow and somewhat on the expensive side. Overall, this is a nice place for a special dinner.

“The View and Service were the highlights”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

The staff were lovely and the view of the bay was beautiful. The hotel arrangted free transfers to and from our hotel on the other side of the island.

The choices on the dinner menu were rather limited, pricey and not all items were available. The "whole" snapper was a section of the fish. Flavours were OK but we'll stick to some of the more traditional Thai restaurants around Sairee.

“Confused service, overpriced but delicious food”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

Very nice location by the ocean and view to Chalok Baan bay. Food was very tasty, and creative except the "whole red snapper" wasn't whole at all, instead just a cut.
Service was, um, interesting. Waiters seemed to speak fairly good english but almost everything from ordering to paying and even getting cutlery and serving drinks felt like an impossibly demanding task.
If you live next door and feel like paying a 1000b for a meal, go for it.

“"A real treat"”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

What a great place to have a meal! The restaurant was at the end of Chalok bay with a beautiful view across the bay to the big Buddha. The food was amazing especially the breakfast. The kids ordered pancakes with dark chocolate but they looked so good that the adults ended eating half of them! It was the most decadent food we had in Thailand by a long shot and the price was good. Definately recommend it.
