My friend and I stumbled across this wonderful haven after a two hour sweaty walk from the ferry port at 7 in the morning, to be greeted by free toast, tea, comfy hammocks and a lady cleaning her ear with a feather from the rebel chicken! Just the absolute perfect vibe, wonderful people, such a cosy family atmosphere, it really was the best way to end our trip and as many people do we could have stayed there for a long time! Klyde and Dave just keep you smiling all day long. Love to y'all at SpicyTao!

Spicy is a hostel so relaxed and full of nice people, you will probably extended your stay, as a lot of other people do as well. You can hang out at a cozy hammock filled relax area, and watch all the cheezy Will Ferrel movies you like! The staff David and Clyde are super friendly dudes. I had a great time staying here! Would reccomend it to anyone looking for a great time!

The hostel is very simple bungalows sleep ten that are air con and two fan. The common area is simply a wood but with a tv and long table perfect for meeting other travelers. If you need anything or have any questions they are there to help. you also the hostel workers come out with everyone for drinks. Klyde and David are awesome guys and no matter what you do you can't piss them off! Thanks for the great times and If you plan on going for two days it is never long enough everyone always extends there stay! Even if you don't stay at spicy your welcome to join and drink with everyone and be part of the spicy family! Must go destination for backpackers!

Spicy Tao was definitely one of the best places we stayed when travelling in Thailand. It has an incredible vibe and a great place to meet and go out with other travellers. As other reviews have said, they organise nights out and incredible BBQs underneath the stars every couple of days. Everyone sits on canvas mats together and sometimes people get up and play. The common area is a covered wooden deck with hammocks to chill out and watch tv and you'll find someone to chat to any time of day. We planned 2 nights which we extended to 5 nights and don't know anyone who didn't extend their stay. the dorms are basic but clean and the staff are so welcoming and up for a laugh.

Room Tip: Definitely go for one of the Air Con Dorms. It is only 50 baht more and will mean your much more comfortable especially in the hotter months. It can even get too cold sometimes but remember that you can adjust it so just ask for the remote.

I stayed at Spicytao for about a week! Great place with great people! The dorms are simple which is good, cause who wants to stay in their dorm all day? The common area is all outside and close together. Big screen tv with loads of movies and series, a big picknick table where everybody sits around all day and night (not only people staying at spicy :) ) you can get your own drinks and they are ridiculously cheap, only 2/3 bath more than 7/11. Also they organize loads of activities like a boozeccruise, shared dinners or bbq every other day and whatever you can think of really! But the best thing about spicy is just the whole island vibe, everbody is in a constant mode of relaxation and everybody is welcome and excepted!

Thanks guys!!!
