We stayed in a newly built deluxe luxury room and were pleasantly surprised how spacious and comfortable the room was. It was nicely decored and had a fridge filled with various different beverages, air conditioning and a king-size bed.

But that's pretty much where the pros ended. First of all, no cleaning during our entire stay! Our friends room was cleaned once, but just because they happened to pump into one of the cleaning ladies and asked for it!

The location is noisy as hell, the road leading to the beach through the resort is busy 24/7. Dogs, scooters, small trucks, partying people.. Also the noise from nearby bars (including the resorts own by the beach) keeps you awake at night.

The personnel was quite nice but the whole "system" they had with the reservations and billing was not organized at all. Our laundry nearly got lost, huge hassel with meal orders every time and when it came to payment of our meals, drinks, laundry and minibar when we were leaving, I never got to see any kind of receipts, just total amount was given to me hand written to a piece of paper and that's was it.

Room had to be paid when checking in and according to hotel policy you have to notify the reception one day before you leave or else they will charge you extra (don't ask me why).

Breakfast was a complete joke. On the menu there are loads of breakfast items to choose from but guess what the hotel guests had to eat every single day? Coffee, juice(not fresh), toast, fried eggs and bacon. Nothing else couldn't be chosen from the large variety. After one day we ended up eating breakfast from a buffet in a nearby hotel at only 150BHT.

So to sum it up, there are better options at Sairee beach where you can get a bit more for what you've paid for. Wouldn't go back to this resort.

I had a fantastic stay at wind resort, basic rooms, very good prices and the restaurant is right on the beach for the evening sunset with dinner and drinks. The staff at wind beach are great, really accommodating and a lot of fun. The location is in the middle of the nightlife of sairee beach without being on top of it, so after partying on the beach you can escape back to your room to relax.

This is a budget resort so if you're looking for something fancy you might want to try somewhere else. That said, there were some new 'premium' rooms just being finished when I left and they looked very nice, so maybe if you have a little bit more to spend these might be an option for you.

I will definitely be going back to wind resort when I next visit koh tao.

Stayed here for 8 nights and enjoyed my stay. Right near the beach and bars and restaurants.

Our booking did get mixed up and we stayed in a tiny 2bed room for the first night which was clean but not big and only had fan. We got upgraded to a villa which was lovely. Clean and spacious with our own balcony. Had a flat screen tv, fridge and air con. The bathroom was large and had a powerful shower. The restaurant did good food and drinks and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to put our food and drinks on our overall hotel bill. I was very surprised at how cheap it was for the 8nights.

We stayed 2 nights and paid 1200baht a night through agoda. It appeared to be one of the cheapest places when we booked on line, however we found lots of much nicer and cleaner bungalows at half the price when we were on the island. In fact on our third night we stayed in a lovely clean quiet bungalow and paid only 600baht a night.
Sairee beach, where WInd Beach Resort is where it all happens, which in one way is good but on the other hand there was (very) loud music blaring until around 4.00am on one of the nights. Not so bad the second night (unless we were too exhausted to be kept awake!!)
The room itself was a good size but there was absolutely nowhere to put any of our belongings on. Luckily there was a spare bed in the room. If that was not there, we only had the floor. No wardrobe, chest of drawers, nothing!
there was no top sheet, only a single blanket thing for two of us to use as a cover. I think it was meant to be white but I couldn't be sure of that!
The towels were the same colour too. The room was not serviced, so the towels not replaced or our bin emptied. We asked for another cover in the morning and had to ask again later in the day as no one had brought one to our room.
Outside the room, you looked over quite a dirty area which was not very pleasant.
Free wifi offered but the connection was very slow.

I made the mistake to book a room with wind beach resort, because if you know koh tao a bit you will know that they charge to much for to little, the street with the cabins was or is under construction so allot of noise and things going on which are not relaxing
behind my cabin some kind of sewage thing was flowing which brought a smell with it
not relaxing at all, the wifi only works at the reception and not at all in the cabins,

Firstly, to be clear, this is not a top-end resort, the accomodation is fairly basic, however if this is all you are looking for at a good price then look no further. Paid 800 baht per night for one of the bungalows, like I said, basic, but just made the whole experience feel more real. The bar\restaurant area is great, awesome food both during the day and great bar-b-q at night. Nice tunes, the service is amusingly straight forward but friendly, and to top it off great views of the awesome Sairee Beach sunset.

This resort is located on the perfect place on Ko Tao. It’s easy to find restaurants, bars and shopping, at the same time it’s queried at night. The cabins are more than worth for your money, they are well maintenance and clean in the restaurant there’s excellent food, helpful personal and good service. A resort to go for!
