Phi Phi Andaman Beach Resort

My boyfriend and I have just spent 3 nights here - we had a bungalow near the pool and were happy with it. Bathroom isn't great, it's a wet room and doesn't feel 100% clean but it was fine. Pool is lovely, location isnt great if you want a nice beach but others are only a short walk away. Breakfast was OK, we had eggs every morning and they were nice. Room was slightly on the expensive side but we were happy to pay!

The service here was terrible bordering on rude, the room was terrible especially the bathroom - one complete moldy, broken tiles everywhere, wet room with the shower spraying the whole room including the toilet (couldn't leave toilet paper in there otherwise it would get wet), the breakfast was poor with the food like it was 2 days old, the room had no privacy so had to use the curtains 24/7, the location was out of the main scene but we didn't mind that at all (its about a 15min walk). There was no safe, no tea/coffee making facilities etc, the bed was rock hard, the towels were old, grey and threadbare and the furnishings were old, tired and run down. Definitely won't be staying here again!

The main interest of Andaman is its location: you're halfway between the village center, which is an easy and pleasant ten-minute walk along the sea, and Long Beach, which is a 10-minute walk through the jungle. The hotel is rather quiet as it's not in the bar area, which is a very good thing. The rooms in the main building are clean but rather sad. The breakfast was really not impressive. The whole place is convenient but soulless.

Stayed here for a week after staying at Woodlands and before moving on to Koh Lanta.

Woodlands had nice food and was lovely looking place but no aircon, and and we had two kids and needed more space and better protection against mozzies.

Andaman is a bigger resort and less "personal" but the service (especially from reception, the owner and the kitchen at the top of the resort) was good, the bungalows very clean and very, err, pink and yellow. There were also very spacious and we had a double bed and two singles all lined up in a row against one wall.

Koh Jum itself pretty quiet but good for a relaxed beach holiday.

The bungalows are totally overpriced, the shower and toilet were not seperated (so you can basically take a dump and shower at the same time). The bed sheets had blood spills on it and the resort was full of chinese people. The pool was very small.

Stayed 2 nights with 2 yrs old kid. Close to beach and taxi longtails boats and ok pool area. Breakfast was ok but not much more. Friendly staff.

Standard Room was good, one double bed and full size extra bed.

Close to restaurants and bars and just few hundred meters from the best seafood restaurants.

Would recommend most to families and couples.

I always stay here when visiting Phi Phi. Rooms are great and the price is good for Phi Phi. I got horribly sick from the Western breakfast they dish up though so give that a miss, it's pretty bad anyway. Definitely a good choice hotel though, I'd stay there whenever I'm on the island.

Room Tip: Make sure you stay in one of the new rooms
