The reviews here are so mixed that I was nervous but this is a really nice property.
Rooms: these are wonderful. We had 2207 which is a seaside room on top of the hill. It’s a lot of uneven stairs up but if it’s not your thing, they will pick you up or drop you off. We walked mostly and generally felt like the walk was worth the view. The room itself is spacious with 360 degree views, making for gorgeous sunsets. Huge balcony, Air conditioning worked well, nice huge shower that was hot, and generally everything you can ask for in a room (fridge, plenty of outlets, huge beach towels, king size bed, etc)
Service: this is why the resort got four stars for me. They have access to everything (you can book a long tail for the day, arrange a taxi, rent snorkels or kayaks, etc) but no one is knowledgeable. Ordering food and drinks took ages at the restaurant and you’d have to ask to have tables cleaned etc. Also we were doing a sunrise tour of Maya bay and they couldn’t help us arrange breakfast or even any snacks to take (we asked the day before). It’s such a bummer as this could make this a five star experience.
Beach: This is also where the resort fell short. The beach itself is fine although they really need to replace the chairs (think old white plastic chairs...The reviews here are so mixed that I was nervous but this is a really nice property.

Beach: This is also where the resort fell short. The beach itself is fine although they really need to replace the chairs (think old white plastic chairs that are super beaten up) and very few umbrellas.
Restaurant: breakfast was included and pretty good, lunch and dinner menu was decent (not the best Thai food but fine for the resort). Drinks were good.
Dive shop: it was closed! This is a pain as we had to take a long tail to tonsai pier to dive since this is the only shop on the island. Apparently they open next month though.
Summary:
We really struggling to figure out where to stay as we wanted to be able to get to restaurants but we also didn’t want to be in a noisy club scene. This worked out really well - it’s a short taxi boat to town for 100 bhat (per person) each way before 6pm and 150 after 6:30. We were able to get to the dive shop each morning that way and we also managed to have dinner and drinks in town a couple of the nights.
So it’s a good balance if you want a little bit of R&R but also some life.More
