On arriving at the Pier in Phi Phi we were greeted by reps from the hotel who loaded us onto a longtail boat and we made the short journey over to the hotel. It is quite simply stunning. The stilted apartments as a backdrop against the stunning beach is quite a site. We had a superior bungalow and the decking was a bonus to sit and admire the view. The room itself was lovely with sat tv and nice plasma. The bathroom is amazing and the minibar is well stocked! Lunch was not the best but that is a minor complaint as breakfast was excellent. Phi Phi is a fantastic island and this hotel just added to the wonderful experience we had! We will be back............

Room Tip: Superior Bungalow is more than ample!

We arrived at phi phi docks and straight away we got a long tail boat to the hotel, the location is stunning and great place to get away from everything, the bungalows are very basic but who cares with a sea view like that, the only down side was the food wasnt the best, how ever it really is a surreal location and you will not get tired of the view!

good,
keep in mind you have to longtail boat to the maintown for 100 baht per person.
at night you have to longtail back for 300 baht per person.
they dont longtail boat back to where this hotel is but go to a place that is 10 minutes away by walking because of the waves.
the boats dont always go so you have to wait for a boat at night.
in the mornings when no ones awake, you might see monkeys, which are fascinating. they know how to open the doors, keep em locked.

good restaurant, good view, good location of the restaurant, right on the beach. good fireshow.
everythings good except the longtail boat,

i recommend you go there and stay in the hotel, or book more than 3 days in that hotel so you can get used to the longtail boat hours of operation.

It is a great hotel, the area is not too busy as the Tonsai area, that's why we liked it very much.

The bungalow was very good, the view was amazing :) We stayed at a Grand Sea view Deluxe bungalow, so we had to take some steps to the bungalow from the beach, but view compensate for that :)

The breakfast was very good, the selection was wide. We ate dinner 2 times at the hotel. The grilled fish was amazing, we recommend trying it.

The beach was nice and not overcrowded. We like snorkeling very much, and this area was very good to snorkel. We saw a lot of fish, black tip sharks, corals... There is a big rock near the shore, you can swim there, only watch for the longboats.

The PADI dive shop (Black Tip Scuba) was very good at the hotel, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the diving trips were very good, and competitively priced. In my opinion it is not necessary to go to the Tonsai area for diving...

We went to Tonsai one evening, it was OK, but very overcrowded. At one evening good to see, but if you are not a party fan, it is enough one time:) We walked there from the hotel, some part of the route was not so nice... At the night we went back with longtail (150 baht/person). There are bars, restaurants, dive shops and tour operators at or near the hotel, so in our opinion it is not necessary to go too often to the city.

There is a free pickup, and transportation (after check out) to the Tonsai pier. According to the hotels homepage (and booking.com) it was indicated only cash payment was accepted, but we asked in e-mail, and they said it is possible. So at March we could pay with credit card, and do not have to carry a lot of cash.

Altogether it is a great resort, so we strongly recommend it.

Room Tip: Beautiful view from Grand Sea View Deluxe :)

Outstanding hotel and property. If you always wanted to do one of those "getaway from it all" vacations in solitude, but were put off by cost, or fear of the isolation, go here. Island is only accessible by boat. Hotel is only accessible by fantail boat. Village with gourmet food, shopping and dive shops 5 minutes away. No motorized vehicles on the island. Private powdery sand beach. Private bungalows with every toiletry you could possibly have forgotten. All bungalows face the water. "The Beach" with Leonardo DiCaprio was shot 1 island over. Wild monkeys near the village. Terrific diving and snorkeling. The hotel cons are nitpicky - food is good to very good, Thai people would probably say the Thai food is fair to good. In room safe too small for a laptop. Bar closes at midnight, last fantail is at midnight. They say you can walk to town, but that's really not true. Lots of friendly cats (true of entire island).
