The bungalows that we stayed in were comfortable, clean and quiet. The location was perfect- beautiful beach, scenery, and to top it off the food at the restaurant was delicious, and not expensive, and finally the beachside spa offered amazing Thai massages. The Scuba Diving Centre was just down the beach and most of our family went on a day dive- it was a discovery dive for the 2 members who were inexperienced, and they loved it. We also took a snorkeling trip through the hotel, by Long-tail boat, and the snorkeling was also spectacular- swimming among colourful fish.

After spending three nights partying in the heart of Phi Phi while staying at a resort on the Loh Dalum beach we moved to Paradise Beach Resort on Long Beach for two nights. Having spent our past three days in the happening part of town with all the pubs, cafes, clubs and beach bars we wanted to spend the last two days of our vacation on a quieter beach on the island. And we were glad we chose Paradise Resort. Its located on Long Beach and is a ten-fifteen minute ride on the long tail boat or about a thirty minute walk from the heart of town. The resort is right on the beach and the beach is beautiful!! Turquoise waters and lovely soft white sand!! Going by our budget we did not choose the beach front rooms/villas and i must say they looked damn inviting. Even though we chose the standard room we were very happy with the cleanliness and the proximity to the beach itself. It was not more than a one minute walk and you were on the beach. The resort is very well maintained and clean with thai massage on offer right on the beach for those interested. The breakfast was at their beach front open air restaurant with a decent menu. Keep in mind the resort does not offer any room service. The only dent on our pocket was the 100 baht per person that we paid each time we wanted to go or come back from the heart of town. Though getting on that long tail boat taxi was an experience in itself. For dinner we went into the neighbouring resort which served some sumptous thai food right on the beach. The setting was - perfect! We would highly recommend Paradise resort and would love to visit it sometime again.

Please note that Paradise resort doesn't provide free pick up by longtail boat, but the resort next to it (Paradise PEARL) does. So don't expect anybody waiting for you at the pier. We took a longtail boat for 100 baht/per person (there is no bargaining for some reason) during daytime and 150 baht/per person during night. You could also walk to the town, if you don't mind a little jungle experience, but probably on rainy days it gets too slippery. We walked several times to and from the town and it wasn't too bad.
Paradise resort doesn't deserve its name, at least the standard rooms. They are very basic, even old and ugly. There is no TV in the room, but I understood you could "buy" one, whatever that means. Maybe they meant "rent" :)
If your room doesn't have a mosquito net, then definitely ask them to install one! We slept the first night without it and it was awful. There were quite a lot of mosquitos flying around the whole night, but with the net it was tolerable.
Breakfast was OK, no frills, just basic. There is no free Wifi, but you can use Internet at the reception. As soon as you sit behind the computer they'll start the stopwatch. After you're done, they'll stop it and tell you how much you have to cough up.
For dinner I recommend to go the Paradise Pearl (Paradise resort doesn't have any restos), they have pretty decent menu and dishes, not too pricey.
The only good thing was the Long Beach. It was not too crowded, water was clear, although those long tail boats might get annoying.
Overall I didn't like this so called resort. It was managed by young boys who didn't know anything about politeness or guest services. They just hung out there and often forgot that you requested something. The prices are way too expensive for this kind of service and accommodation!

We stayed at Paradise Resort for two nights after checking out of our other hotel in Phi Phi "town". We booked a bungalow double room en-suite for 1300 bahts (43 $US) in October. They however told us that the price will double in November, for the high season. We wanted to be next to the beach in a more quiet area for a couple of days. Quiet it was, maybe too much when we had rain for a full day. Indeed, if you want to go the town, you can go by walking in a muddy path and then in the sea for 25 minutes. Not bad, but not very doable if it's raining a lot or at night. If walking is not an option, you have to take a longboat which will cost you 100 bahts per person, one way. At night it goes up to 150 bahts. Not very convenient if you like to choose between wide selection of restaurants to eat or simply to run errands. Long beach has a couple of restaurants and convenience shops, but they are more pricey than in town. The price of the longboat ride from the hotel to the pier and vice versa is included in the booking price for the room, though.

When it's sunny, the beach is way better than the one in town. The sand on Long beach is whiter and there is less garbage lying around.

The room is large and comes with a mini-fridge, but no TV. For the price, A TV was expected and would have been appreciated during rainy days, cause there is not much else to do then to read then... or to get a massage. Breakfast not included, no swimming pool and no restaurant. You must go eat to other hotel restaurants. The Paradise Pearl restaurant is a good, not expansive, choice.

The resort offers Internet for a whopping 3 bahts per minute, compared to 2 bahts in town (and some 1 baht "happy hour" Internet periods).

we stayed at paradise resort last May 2010, i wasnt able to write a review earlier. we booked this hotel because of its location, price and the reviews here in trip advisor. i really wanted to stay near as possible to Maya Bay and this was the perfect spot, you can see maya bay right across and its away from all the hustle and bustle of the "city" at phi phi don harbour!

we stayed at the beachfront rooms and it was so nice to wake up in the view from the room. it felt that we owned the island! we had massages two nights in a row and i wanted more! there is a beautiful massage area near the hotel and the massage takes you to dreamland in no time! it was sooooo good!

even after 6mos since we last stayed i can still remember every single moment i stayed at this hotel... we are a large a group and we all enjoyed our stay! some of my friends' concern was we needed to take an extra boat ride from the harbour to our hotel after our tours... but the boat ride takes only 3mins, i think, and the view on the way is spectacular!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We staid at Paradise Resort for 11 nights. We booked the new superior bungalows (1500 THB per night) which were very clean, with air-conditioner, private restroom and shower plus a brand new LCD-TV!! We opted for not beach-front because we wanted to have our privacy. With our choice we could avoid: noise from traffic on the nearby sea (long-tail boats), noise from the waves at night (they are quite big at Long Beach) and fellow tourists passing through to get to the neighboring resorts. Yet the beach was just a few steps further compared to beach front. The staff was very nice, the manager tried his best to help us whenever we needed assistance. There was no restaurant at the resort itself but this was no problem at all, because you could go to those of the neighboring resorts, which are very close. For what we got (own bungalow, privacy, all amenities for maximum comfort) the price we paid was VERY reasonable.
We highly recommend this place!
