First we stayed in Holiday Inn Resort than we booked cheapest room in this resort for one night and got upgraded to bungalow.
Have to say that bungalow was nicer than the room in Holiday Inn and prices lower. And as everyone said, staff was great. And breakfast included.
If I would stay in Phi Phi again, I would choose this place for sure.

I am not a guest there but my tour forday trip has stop there to take a lunch. When we arrived the hotel, everything is so beautiful and peaceful. I absolutely love there. The man who is the host to welcome the guests before enter to the restaurant very lovely and friendly. He is very nice man. He has a serviced mind. I can say that actaully like him so much and hope that he will get the promotion from the hotel.

Pros:
- Staff was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful
- Golf Cart driver would take you to and from your room
- Snorkeling and Scuba gear rentals less expensive than the rest of the islands
- 4 hour personalized longboat rental for a snorkeling trip was 1,500 THB
- Great selection of food and drinks (I suggest the Phi Phi Paradise.)
- A Ferry boat goes between the main dock and the resort 3 times per day, and costs 400 THB vs a 1,200 THB longboat ride. Make sure you call the resort to organize this arrangement.
- Complimentary breakfast had all you-can-eat-bacon, 'nuff said.
- The gift shop was closed when I encountered a bad case of sun burn. The staff gave me a bowl of their own personal Aloe Vera, free of charge. Later, the same staff member brought more Aloe Vera and some aspirin to our room in the middle of the night free of charge. I thought that was outstanding.
Cons;
- It IS called Natural Resort for a reason, and the mosquito net over the bed serves a purpose.
- Although it is a con, you have to remember you are on a jungle island, so don't panic if you hear critters outside or in the ceiling. None actually came in the room.
-The beach looks GREAT for about half of the day, then the tide exposes the dead coral left over from the Tsunami.
Pro Tips:
- Use bug spray for walks on any beaches in Thailand.
- There are two restaurants at the resort, one is for the employees and is kind of meager. They will still serve you, but the menu is limited and you may get some funny looks. Had a lot of fun practicing Thai with the staff there.

Room tip: If you are going to the islands to stay in a resort room the whole time, you are wasting your time and money. however, if you are looking for a peaceful side of the island as a base camp for your trip, this is the place to go.

A few things: away from the bustling main area of phi phi. This hotel is secluded from the main pier in phi phi. You have to take a 15-20 min ferry from the main pier to the hotel area. Then you have to long tail it over to the beach and THEN take a tractor ride to shore. There are only two ferries to the main pier at phi phi town per day somif you miss those, youre screwed. A very different experience.
We had a great dinner at a nearby restaurant down the beach called Jasmines. There massaman curry is delicious! Just a few restaurants down there is a stage that has a one man band, quirky Thai dancers (so entertaining!) and an interesting version of Thai boxing.
The hotel itself is very rustic with a very friendly, unique staff. Therooms are very simple, cabin like, with Very hard beds. If you're looking for a Griswald vacation, then Clark, this is the place for you!

This is our 5th time at the resort and we still like to be here. The grounds are very spacious and the bungalows pleasant. Yes, some things needs to be fixed and yes, sometimes doors don't close that well but hey you are in Thailand! We prefer the charm and friendly staff over the clean Holiday Inn on the other end of the beach. The resort made some improvements over the years, a new reception and restaurant. Wifi still only in the lobby, but they told us they are working on wifi in the rooms.
The downside is that the beach gets more busy every time we come here. Speedboats are the norm now, and the beach gets to endure all of these day trippers, including noise and pollution. Also the lovely bamboo island nearby suffers a lot, although a short walk and you have the beach for yourself, somehow the (Chinese) tourists like to be together with as many as possible per square meter...
If you want to go to Phi Phi and still want to get a hint of how it was book this resort, because it is your best bet. Ignore the bad reviews and don't worry about the little ants: they don't bite. Thank you staff for the wonderful time.
