“Dont die without seeing this!”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

I believe that this is one of the most awesome beach in the world. it was filmed by hollywood not for nothing, it is because it is really a breath-taking view of the world. Maya Bay, Bamboo island, Phi Phi Don are just places that i visited. Bamboo Island i believe is the best place out of all the places ive visited. It has the most amazing view and best place for photography, we had around 45-an hour there just lying around in the sand and swim in the water, this would most likely be the first point where most tour groups would be at. It is really serene, the sand is really fine and water is crystal clear. Laying down and just get a tan is fine too!

Maya Bay, was just crowded it is so small that there wasn't much space to walk around because it looks sardine packed with tourists all over the world. The really cool beach is just pretty much ruined because of this fact. But there is a fact that can't be changed, which is the softest sand that i have felt ever. it is even softer than the one at Bamboo Island.

Phi Phi Don is the last stop, where we had buffet lunch which is of decent quality and a few hours of shopping and exploration of the island. We also had snorkelling, it was amazing that we had 2 spots to snorkel for about 30 minutes each before heading to lunch. We had lunch at around 1PM. It has many scuba diving centers, fruit shakes shops and places just to chill out. There is much souvenirs to buy, but i would recommend going back to Aonang to get them. The harbour is littered with many floating boats that doesn't really give it much of a view to expect.

Time: Full day 8AM to 4.30PM
Price:1500baht at Aonang Villa Resort
Tour Guide: Speaks English and Thai.
-takes around 45 mins to the first stop and less than an hour to the next few places. and then about an hour from Phi Phi Don back to Aonang
*they provided bottled water and the tour guide was awesome by providing fresh fruits and local delights.*

We gave them a tip of 100 baht after the trip and took a picture with him! anyways tips for those who are afraid of roller coasters or fast moving speed boats, SIT AT THE BACK, it really lessens the impact!

“Busy, busy, busy”

Thankfully, it's a National Park otherwise it would be ruined. It's a real pity to see plastic floating on the turquoise waters and stuck in the middle of corals. Clearly, the clean up effort is not there.

“Nice trip”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

Went there with a Longtail Boat - only the 2 of us. Great snorkeling early in the morning. Water in some of the bays are full of junk and the 20 Baht paid at Tonsai pier is definetely not used for cleanup purposes as they claim

“Relaxing, nice view, good food”

Different activity at different hour, you will experience the joy of traveling to Thailand.

Morning - Rent a long tail boat (you can share if you found other solo or couple travelers there) and tell them where you want to go. If you are not sure of where to go, let the boatmen guide you.

Afternoon - Maybe one morning is not enough to visit all surrounding nice places. You can have a lunch and continue or even have your lunch at some small islands around. Get back only at evening.

Late afternoon/ Evening - If you come back earlier, just walk from the pier to your hotel. The island is not very tiny in size but there is no motor vehicle available. Rent a bike or travel by foot, walk around and look around. Stop by and buy some local food/snack, they are all tasty.

Evening/Sunset - Go to the beach.

Night - Walking around like shopping in night market. Or, go get some drink and dance!
