We stayed here on our anniversary for 8 nights whilst on Phi Phi. (Sept 2011.)
The location itself is simply stunning, you are right on the beach with views out towards Mosquito island and to the north side of the island. The staff were all very welcoming when we arrived on the boat late into the evening - I think even a chef was dancing and singing away whilst walking us up to reception. We were given cool towels and a welcome flower, and the staff did well with communications. - you could see they were trying hard.
Our room was lovely and airey with all the basics that you need for a Thailand holiday - comfortable bed, tv (for the monsoon days!) floor-length windows to enjoy the scenery. The bathroom was a little grubby but certainly liveable.
The hotel's restaurant served great seafood at decent prices, and the bar itself was situated so when the tide came in it lapped under your bar seats. The only downside to what could have been a lovely romantic setting was the volume and repetitiveness of the music! This went on til the early hours and disrupted my sleep each night - I could not imagine how families with small children coped.
We found a restaurant a bit further up the beach (to the left) which had more romantic setting and wonderful food (pad thai/curry was best) and they did wonderful Watermelon martini's! A little bit pricey for Phi Phi however but worth a visit.

The hotel pool albeit small was nice, and the staff were eager to help whenever possible with boats/snorkels/advice.

1 thing not to miss is to go to the back of the hotel area to the small pier - the sunset from this side (if you don't walk up to the view point of Phi Phi) is simply stunning! It's such a shame that the tsunami ruined this side of the island.
We absolutely loved our stay and would advise anyone to do the same for any length of time.

Just been there 17/07/2013 - The Hotel is a bit dated as the furniture seems a bit tired and old. Even the bathroom not that clean as mentioned. There's a lot of yellowish stain here and there. Front Office Staff not so helpful and a bit arrogant ...My purposed of visit is to survey the Hotel for my Guests as Im in Travel Industry but frankly speaking a bit disappointed as there are so many mosquitoes found in my room and it's hard to get a night's sleep.

Please take note the check out time is 11.00 am and not 12pm. Had requested for 12pm check out as my Ferry will only departs at 1pm from here, but purely rejected to my request as stated that the Hotel is FULL and they are expecting many guests later, but what I can see that, there are so many vacant rooms and the next Ferry to this Island is at 3.30Pm.....?

Breakfast - Nothing Great - As it is included in the room rates

This is a beautiful small resort placed on an isolated beach, really away from the main part of Phi Phi Island. Although it does take 40 minutes to get back and forth between the main dock and the resort, if you are looking for that quiet place for some relaxation time, or the quality alone time with your beloved half, this is the perfect place to be. There is another resort by - but also quiet - and a small restaurant to venture out to (the chef makes an authentic pad thai which happens to be generous in portion and very tasty)

Service is as expected for a resort - welcoming fruit cocktail upon arrival and friendly staff. Rooms are kept tidy, and complimentary water each day - which is actually very helpful in a tropical climate.

So if you are into the wild party scene, perhaps give this place a pass, but if you are in for a quiet, peaceful, relaxation time, this place just might be it.
