We have stayed at the PP Erawan for a few years now!

It's hands down one of the best resorts we have found! The staff, management, service, food & location are unbeatable! We normally stay in the Bungalows which are worth the extra few dollars. We also enjoy their massages by the beach. The front desk staff are a pleasure to deal with.

The Sawasdee restaurant serves some of the best Thai food you'll find!

Room Tip: Bungalows are worth the extra cost!

A mixed bag of beautiful location right on the beach and more than adequate rooms, very friendly staff at restaurant , but with very poor, very unhelpful service at reception. The location on the north side of the island was a blessing for us, away from the craziness of the very touristy ton sai village. There is a few resorts packed in a row here but mostly it adds to the festive atmosphere. Snorkeling is good at nearby bamboo island a mere 20 min by longtail boat . The gypsy village is close by with an excellent restaurant .However we waited an hour and a half for our room on check in, the bedding had old blood stains on and as the staff suggested you leave your shoes outside your door hubby's brand new pair of hiking shoes was stolen during the night! All of the above seemed acceptable to the staff and nothing done about it. There are many hotels to choose from in this area, this is not one I would recommend.

Room Tip: Any one is good just don't leave your shoes outside as suggested!

The excellent service they provide at the Erawan starts even in the boat that brings you to Phi Phi Island, as someone comes and picks you and your luggages.
The welcome is warm. The room is delicious. We just had a little problem with the shower, but the word 'problem' is too much.
The breakfast is various enough and good. At the lobby you can get info about outdoor activities, like going by longboat to visit other little islands and making snorkeling, and you can also rent everything from there (the price is right and in line with all the others).
The overall experience has been of excellence and simplicity, but of course you should not expect to have a great life at night time, unless you get a taxy boat to Tonsai. In fact, the only defect one can argue is that this corner of paradise is a bit too far from the shining inferno... but to me and my girlfriend this wasn't a problem at all. They even organize dances+singer+thaibox shows on the beach (ok, not very good quality, but enough for entertainment during a pleasant dinner in front of the oscillating boats anchored and the sound of waves). I really suggest to go here for the final days of the Thailand vacations, and you'll recharge your own psychological and physical batteries.

For what ever reason, we were unaware that we would need to navigate the Phi Phi pier and track down a long tail boat (@ 1200 Bhat) to take us on the 30+ min trip to the resort. Even more frustrating was that the resort offers one way transportation for 200 Bhat and this was not communicated by the resort. Once there, we were advised the resort was over sold and we would need to spend one night at another resort. A disruption we did not need, but my wife was steadfast and got an upgrade to one of the bungalows. Rooms were great...roomy, clean, we'll appointed with a small veranda hosting a couple of deck chairs and a lounger. All in, a great property. This property is isolated with boat only access. If that is what you are looking, the Erawan Palms will give you a great place to stay. The breakfast was so, so at best. Best meal on the beach is at the Jasmin.

You pay an entry fee of 20bhat to get on the island, to protect the beaches and water. We found Leamtong beach to have a ton of litter. Shame on the tourists that left it there, or wherever it floated in from, but there is no apparent effort to clean it up. Through observations, the locals freely add to the problem. Not directly related to the resort, but something they could move forward on.

A unique place in that you can watch the sunrise in the am and walk 500 meters to the west edge and watch the sunset from the aptly named Sunset Bar.

Note, isolation has a price. We found food, tours and beverage to be 25% more expensive than Koh Lanta.

The staff are very courteous.

Room Tip: If you can get one, the bungalows are outstanding. The whole beach is very quiet after 9:00pm, but...

Lovely little resort but the amenities are a little less than 5 star. Rooms are clean and neat but a little tired and shower was a mere trickle of hot/cold bursts. Our villa overlooked the pool and was nice and cool with a A/C, a large fridge and comfy king bed.

We stayed for 5 days and it was too SHORT! Total chill out, switch off and relax part of the island! After reading some of the reviews posted I was quite surprised that they didn't find the staff helpful. We found them engaging, the waitress remembered our favorite drinks. We took the ferry to Tonsai and found that great value for money. Tonsai was great but very busy. So glad we didn't stay there. My only negative point would be getting to the hotel would be difficult for the elderly or disabled.

We will definitely return and this time for longer, such a great way of unwinding after a hectic work schedule.

PP island has been recked by the tsunami and poor island management for reconstruction. although it is worth visiting for its spectacular scenic beaches and snorkeling etc, Ton Sai Bay is total madness, backpackers & loud party music. Its fun if you are in that category of visitor.

Otherwise, there are other beaches that are quieter, Laem Tong being one and PP Erawan being a very nice hotel on this secluded part of the island. If you are looking to relax, this part of the island is for you, we stayed 3 nights, and that was enough for us, cause then you just get bored; we are in our 30s after all. And this hotel is great by PP standards. Beautiful setup, its nice to walk around the bungalows which have there own balcony.

We had a bungalows is one row behind the ones closer to the beach/pool. It was spacious, clean, and AC working perfectly (not noisy at all), good size bathroom, although shower is a bit on the soft side for me. In-room safe, but no wifi in the rooms.. only around pool-side and front desk area, which is fine cause you get a scene while surfing.

The staff are very friendly, but english is not so strong, i think only one spoke enough to communicate properly. That didnt matter so much but its nice to be able to get some advice.

This hotel has the best setup for massages compared to the 4 other hotels on this beach. You are in a hut facing the sea. Amazing feeling. And the masseuses are great, stick to thai massage, the oil massage are thai massage-like but with oil, so didnt find it worth the extra penny.

The breakfast was standard, but i would not recommend eating at the restaurant for dinner. it was terrible. go to Jasmine in the Gypsy village, cheap and very tasty. Otherwise, try Holiday Inn or Zeavola for high-end food.

Room Tip: get a bungalow, either ones are good.
