It has an awesome view of the bay and backdrop, it was clean and actually gives you access to other beaches. I feel some of the other negative reviews are expecting the four seasons - which you won't get in phi phi - so just enjoy the island and beaches and food and relax -

We were so excited to stay at this hotel but when we showed up, they said they were overbooked and would send us to another hotel for the night. It took almost an hour for them to be straight with us about being overbooked but they didn't seem sad or bad about it. The place they sent us to was terrible, with broken safes, bugs, and grime on the sheets. We went back to Bayview the next day and learned that other people staying there had also experienced this, where they had to stay some place else because they were overbooked... They had terrible customer service, trying to ignore all of us angry hotel guests and it really put a damper on what was such a nice honeymoon. Do not book this hotel- its not worth the headache.

Ko phi phi was the least friendly area in thailand as expected. There was no welcome drinks for us as we arrived since there were many guests trying to check in. - this is understandable..

However, our room was located almost 15 mins walk away from the reception, mostly uphill. Even if we are quite athletic, we found it very annoying. Also, there's no wifi if ur room is far away from the reception. - very inconvenient!

Even if this hotel offered decent breakfast, isn't too far away from the long beach, i wouldn't recommend to stay here because of the location of rooms and no wifi in a room. You can find better hotels paying less.

I found this "resort" to be run-down.
Location is right on the beach which is great, but also a very long walk from town.
The bungalows are set high on a hill which is fantastic for the view, however I would not recommend for seniors or people of ill-health.
The rooms themselves felt dated and although they were clean, they still felt a little muggy.
Breakfast was average and service was also average.
I would not recommend this hotel, however if you have already booked it, you will still enjoy your stay.

Room Tip: The lower the room number, the quicker the walk.

On arrival at 11am we were told to come back at 2pm. The hotel reception service was shocking as we stood around at the desk for 20 minutes patiently with no acknowlegment from the staff. To then be told that they were over booked and they had relocated us at another hotel "five" minutes away. We had no choice but to reluctantly follow. 20 minutes walk later we arrived at this hotel in the heat. The reception staff were rude at bay view and promised us a better "nicer" room.
77 steps up (with cases weighing 30kg) to the hut we were located to we were greeted by a horrible mouldy bathroom. Luckily for us we only had one night there so it was bearable, but I wouldn't like anyone else to experience that! Much to my surprise as we thought we might have been a one off, a poor Brazilian family of 7 were also relocated.
It's a shame as we were looking forward to staying at bay view. Be wary when booking!!!! We booked in June and stayed in January. So it must be luck of the draw!

Room Tip: Don't book this hotel in the first place!

I stayed here with my husband in January 2014.

When we got our tickets at Phuket's Ratsada Pier, the counter girl gave us a sticker with the hotel's logo. This was how the guide identified us when we alighted at Tonsai Pier in Phi Phi. The guide collected all the guests with the hotel sticker and led us to the hotel on foot. No point, really as the group split halfway because there were many people and other groups going to other hotels so some guests got confused. We knew the general direction of where the hotel was and continued walking on our own.

There was a welcome soft drink and wifi is only available within 100m of the lobby area.

The rooms are located on a hill slope and there are buggy rides to take guests with luggage. We had backpacks so the hotel staff just directed us to our hut. We had requested for a seaview room but got one that faced the back of a hut instead. They also didn't reply to our emails prior to our arrival.

The rooms came with a veranda porch but we didn't go out there much because it just faced a walkway and the hut in front of us. Not much to see.

The aircon is somehow connected to the water heating system, we had to turn on the aircon first and then the water would get hot. Pretty easy to operate and everything worked fine. There were many channels on the telly too and there's room service.

Coincidentally we arrived on phi phi during the full moon party and that probably explained a drunk stranger knocking on our door at 2am screaming for one Nisha.

Next to the hotel was a water taxi (longtail boat service) hut and we booked our snorkelling trip directly from the guy at the hut. For 2 people we paid 1500thb.

Since the hotel was at the edge of the beach, there weren't people walking past and so dining on the beach was pleasant and quiet. I don't think we'll stay on this beach again if we were coming to phi phi again. We might not even come back to phi phi because it's pretty much a party island and we are not the sort. But if we do, I'll take the extra travelling time and head for quieter beaches and resorts on the island.

Room Tip: I would want to say request for a seaview room but since they ignored our request that would probabl...

We booked and paid for this resort in May last year- so we had no problems with overbooked rooms.
We had a sea facing room - the first row of rooms so we did not have to climb the hill much.
Rooms were great!! hot water not so great.
Hotel is lekka, breakie good and overall would stay at this resort again, but unlikely as I would not stay in phi phi again as Ko Lanta is so much better.
