“Excellent service, beautiful property and great location!”
Reviewed January 22, 2014

My husband and I stayed at the Outrigger Ko Phi Phi for the first half of our Honeymoon in August 2013. From the moment we stepped off the transfer boat, we were impressed. We stayed in one of the secluded villas on the hillside and it was wonderful--nice furnishings, very open/large spaces, comfortable beds/linens and we loved our private pool. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job at maintaining our room whenever we stepped out. The included breakfast buffet each morning is extensive and the food is good. Very close by there is a little village that you can walk to (5 mins literally) if you want to experience a bit of local food/people outside the resort. We really liked having this option and ate most of our lunches & dinners there. Oh and that little village has several massage places that we tried and enjoyed. My only complaint about the resort is the very high cost of alcoholic drinks. If you are $$ conscious, go buy beers for your room at one of the markets in the adjoining village and keep them in your mini fridge.

After travelling for a little close to 24 hours arriving at Outrigger was amazing. The transfer from the ferry was seamless, the check-in wonderfully easy and the room and resort provided a great place to start our holiday. The resort itself is quite large but as it's over a big stretch of land it doesn't feel overbearing and it didn't seem to be too busy in the bar or restaurant areas. The beach is lovely and the food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was all very delicious and not bad value. My boyfriend and I decided to have some spa treatments (well worth it the spa is gorgeous) and we were not disappointed. The staff were superb and I really did feel like nothing was too much trouble.

Beautiful grounds, great pool and beach - lots of options for day trips/adventures! There is a small village literally steps off the back of the resort where locals serve up amazing food, lots of drinks and great people!

Make sure to check out the Buffalo Head Bar in the back village and if he's still there, say hi to Rath.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in January and wished we could have stayed for longer. The hotel is in a beautiful location right on the beach in pure paradise. There is a relatively good selection of food in the restaurant, with a different buffet each night if you choose not to east a la carte. There is a great little village behind the resort if you want something to do in the evenings, as the resort is very quiet. We had a couple of drinks at a bar there and had such a laugh with the owner and other holiday makers. The rooms are beautiful huts which are wonderfully clean and looked after well. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. We would happily go back here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Outrigger Hotel for 5 nights on Phi Phi Island as part of 14 day Holdiay to Thailand to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary.
On arrival by boat to the island we were taken back by the beautiful surroundings and layout of the hotel. We booked to stay in a Beach Front villa which had its own garden, balcony and patio area and only a few steps away from the gorgeus infinity pool. Each morning we opened the patio doors whilst lying in bed watching the sea- amazing, a small slice of paradise!!
Although we were told the hotel was full the serenity and peacefullness throughout the day just added to the relaxed and calmness this location gave & provided us.
The staff are all very warm and welcoming and go out of their way to assist you.Excellent service all round.

The Village loacted at the back of the hotel a 5 min walk was a hiden gem as had many small restaurants and bars which were run by local people. They provided us with some beautiful meals freshly cooked to order. These included The Knockout Bar, Pad Thai bar and our favourite for Cocktails beingThe Oasis Bar ran by a Mother and son.

We will no doubt be returning to the Outrigger and again want to say a Big Big thankyou for making our Hoilday such a wonderful experience. Rob & Beth Tovey

Room Tip: Beach front villa for the views and being so close to the sea!!

Beautiful location. Beach is nice but tides are very extreme. Pool is one of the nicest I have ever seen. Food was good, buffets nice but always able to order from menu. Several different restaurants which is nice in a secluded location like this. Village behind has several restaurants and bars. Spa is lovely. Rooms are ok, could use a better cleaning, like washing windows, grout cleaning. They are adequate but nothing more. Wanted to snorkel and took two trips, both took us to sites that were so crowded it was not enjoyable.

Room Tip: Try to get oceanfront or at least just a few rows back.

Loved the hotel. Great location and great staff. Food was good on the resort. Island hopping was amazing! Went to PHI PHI for new years - it was great! The market behind the resort has some good restaurants too - PAD THAI being my favorite.
