We stayed here in early May and it was awesome. The resort is beautiful and the little bungalows are very comfortable. My only complaint is that you are a little isolated here but that is the case on Phi Phi unless you stay in Tonsai. We stayed for 2 nights and that was the perfect amount of time for us. Any longer and we would have been a bit bored. But if you are the type of person that just wants to go somewhere quiet and totally relax this would be a perfect place to go.

We attended a wedding here and stayed for 3 nights. The bungalows were just beautiful, it feels like you're a world away from your neighbour. Service was brilliant and the food at the restaurants was very good, with breakfast in particular being great. Recommend the pool bar for somewhere cool to sit and enjoy a cold beer/cocktail. Slightly on the pricey side for Thailand but for somewhere special to stay this would be the place to go.

Absolutely love this place! Had a perfect break from start to finish. Pool is lovely, lots of loungers, beach and sea is beautiful and the resort itself top class. Very clean, staff very helpful. Slightly overpriced for food and drinks but we expected that, and to be honest mostly ate in the village behind the hotel so didnt bother us. (if you do venture into the village, go to Pad Thai restaurant for good food, and the Beach bar for good drinks!) Hired a long tail boat through the hotel which was great value and went to Maya bay, if you're going to do this you need to leave the hotel at 7-7.30, or Maya Bay is just too over crowded. All in all had an amazing honeymoon and didnt want to leave Outrigger!!

Room Tip: We were in 123, 2nd row so had a view of the beach and also close enough to be near the pool and rec...

The water was plenty, very clean room (our room was close to everything and thats good), details like the umbrellas or the beach towels everywhere in the resort was a nice surprise..the trips from the hotel are fantastic

We stayed at this resort in March, 2013 as part of our honeymoon trip.
The resort itself is lovely. We were in the superior bungalow and found it really nice and clean. It was cleaned thoroughly daily as well.
The pool is great and we did try the yoga which was good fun and a nice touch.
The restaurant food is good but expensive. We usually went to the village at the back which had good restaurants and were reasonable by Thai standards.

The bad - the staff are very hit and miss. Most are nice however some are very unfriendly and not very polite e.g. some wouldn't offer to bring down your drink to your seat when you went up to the bar to order it. Strange really considering this was unusual in every other hotel and restaurant we were in in Thailand.
Another strange thing is that they kept running out of young coconuts! Not a big deal except when we went to another bar on the resort they would have it. For such a luxury and dear resort you'd expect the staff would check each bar to see if there were any left.

Overall it was good but to be honest I would probably not return.

Having just arrived to Phi Phi from Patong, this resort was a welcome sight. The rooms are spotless and have some fruit for you on your arrival. Complimentary water (trust me, it's needed) was always in the room. The staff was great and probably had more people that spoke English well than any other place I stayed while in Thailand.

A couple notes of help... when I arrived in Phi Phi, the outrigger person to let us know which long-tail boat was ours was not holding up his sign and it took walking up and down the pier a few times and a call to the resort to sort out that he is the one wearing an orange shirt. Much cheaper option on getting to the resort (200THB vs 1000THB that the others try to sell you on).

Wifi was only available in the lobby and some of the restaurants... kind of sporadically and low bandwidth as it was pretty slow but this wasn't that big of a deal for me.

The restaurants and shops just outside the back end of the resort are great!! I particularly like the restaurant called Pad Thai. Definitely leave the resort to experience a bit more of the places around.

I took a walk to Loh Lana beach and had it to ourselves the entire day. Also trekked through the jungle to Tonsai bay. Very hot and humid but a nice little trek. Bring extra water.

The snorkelling trips are well worth it too although Maya bay is quite busy and polluted.

Overall though, I really loved this resort and would go back in an instant. Was there alone at the end of a conference but it was pretty easy to meet people at the pool bar if you are so inclined as I was.

Words sometimes escape me when trying to explain the luxury of the Outrigger resort and spa. The organisation and service of the staff from the moment we arrived at Ton Sai Pier, Phi Phi, to them transferring us via Longboat to the exclusive bay that is the resort and spa where we were greeted at the beach, with excellent service, but minimal fuss. With our bags taken to our room and shown our superb, air-conditioned accommodation; which had plenty of space, excellent facilities and a desking area where we could sit in the shade. Rooms were cleaned and made everyday to a high standard and there were always fresh towels and replaced bottled water. Breakfast was also at a very high standard, providing a seperate (fly-free) cold room which provided cereals, cheese, fresh fruits etc, along with a seperate area soley dedicated to eggs; providing omelettes to poached, fried and scrambled. There was always plenty of staff, a high level of service and you didn't feel as though you were waiting long for anything!! Evening meals were also very good, providing 3 different restaurants for the evening. The Coconut Bar & Grill was one of our favourite places, providing us with the high-level of service matched by the quality of food; all served close to the beach with the ability to watch the sun go down with my loved one (ahhh). We went on a sunset jet boat tour, running between 1300-1900hrs whereby we were taken to various smaller islands, went snorkling, swimming, went to Maya Bay (location of the film 'The Beach') for lunch and to Bamboo island to watch the sun go down. This was great value for money, with enough space on the boat where we were not (unlike other Resorts) crammed in like Sardines. This was all booked and organised via the Resorts own Recreation centre, which provided us with our snorkling equipment. The staff on the trip were polite, helpful and provided us an insight into where we were and reasoning behind the location names and any history involved. The pool at the Resort was also excellent, with plenty of loungers, clean, with a bar/area for some lunch/cocktails/snacks which could be brought to you by the pool/seating area/or by the sea front. The rooms contained detailed information on the resort and spa which was very useful; we even used one of the maps to go for a trek through a designated walking area to one of the bays and viewpoints on the island. The value of the food/services were definitely matched by the level of service provided by the entire team at Outrigger. This is a Resort definitely suited to couples, families & friends, however, for the family side of things there is mainly only the pool and activities at the recreation centre, as the location of the hotel is within it's own private bay. This is a peaceful location, so if you are looking for the hustle-and-bustle with night life, this is not for you. Ton Sai Pier location is where you need to be.

In a nutshell, I loved my stay at this resort and would recommend it to everyone!!!!
