We have just returned from one of the most amazing holidays and had one week staying at this hotel.
we were staying in a beech front bungalow they are so spacious and only a few metres from the sea with your own sun deck and dinning area you can even have breakfast on your deck which is a little extra that comes with the upgrades for the bungalow.
If i had one complaint it would be that the hotel charge for the longboat on each trip 200 bhts ,when there is no other way to get from the hotel you have to use the longboat. But this hotel is in a beautiful private bay with warm turquoise water .

I stayed for a few days only at this resort, but had to leave a review as the stay was absolutely fantastic. The resort is built to make the best of the island beauty and accommodations are pricey, but worth the money.

The food is great at all locations, the beach is just out of this world with the high and low tide effects, the little battery powered tractor that takes people in and out of the island ...

This is the place to go in a couple though or else it may become boring for the solo traveler :)

This was our second visit to Outrigger. Definitely the best place to stay if visiting Phi Phi. Great setting, private beach and nice walking trials to other beaches.

Accommodation is really good, clean and private, and a visit to the spa worthwhile.
Breakfast is good, but dinner pricey and not great (Rather try local restaurants).

Staff very friendly and good service. I would definitely recommend!!

We stayed in three locations whilst in Thailand and this place was just incredible.

We had a beach front suite, room 114 just down from the pool. This gives you about 20 paces from either beach or pool. I just can't fault anything really. It was clean, tidy, the breakfast was good with huge choice and the staff were excellent.

My only comment is we chose to eat in the village just behind as were put off by resort food prices so I can't comment on the restaurants specifically. However I can say that every restaurant we tried in the little village for the 4 nights we were there was brilliant. Freshly caught and cooked fish, brilliant service and very reasonably priced.

Highly recommend this place

Room Tip: Being nearer the pool was great

Wow! What an amazing stay we had here! We stayed here for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon and it was fantastic. We were met at Phuket airport by friendly and professional hotel transfer staff. We had a few hours to wait until the boat transfer to the resort, so we were brought to the transfer office at Ao Po marina. We were given plenty of cold water and had a nice little chat with the staff. As we had a few hours to wait they suggested that we go to the marina where there is a small bar and we could sit in the shade with a few beers. Unfortunately there’s not much else around Ao Po though. We were feeling lazy so the transfer staff happily took us by golf buggy :-) We transferred to the resort by speedboat (not the boat pictured on the website) but this was better in my opinion as we got there quicker. As we approached the resort we knew we were in for a treat!
Lots of smiling staff met us on the beach with smiles and cold towels. About 12 of us arrived at once but check in was still very quick. We were given a lovely coconut mocktail while we checked in. We were given beach front bungalow which was so nice as we had actually booked one of the bungalows behind it. The bungalows are huge with very large bathrooms and two outside terrace areas. It all feels very private too. Waking up to sea views and the sounds of the birds was bliss. Our bed had been decorated with flowers and a lovely happy honeymoon message which was a lovely touch. Big Jacuzzi bath was lovely too, especially as we had sea views from ours.
Plenty of free mineral water is provided every day and breakfast is pretty good, not the best, but a great selection. I highly recommend getting it delivered to your room (no extra charge!), we did this most mornings as it was so nice to eat on our private terrace overlooking the sea.
The pool area is fantastic, no shortage of sunbeds and it’s so well maintained and so clean, as are the rest of the grounds. The beach is lovely and clean and the crystal clear water is so warm. People complain about low tide as you can’t swim, but I don’t see what the problem is, it’s lovely to walk out the tide. The pool is huge anyway, so if you do like to swim, there’s plenty of space in the pool! There are tennis courts too, but it was too hot for us to use them! The hotel has lots of long tail boats and drivers that you can hire for a reasonable price. We hired a boat for the afternoon from the recreation centre, the driver took us to many snorkelling locations (snorkel and flippers provided free) and to the beautiful but crowded Maya Bay. We also hired a boat to take us to Tonsai, but a word of warning, if you’re planning a late night you can’t take a hotel boat back and will have to haggle with the other boats at the pier, we paid about 1200 Baht to get home at 3am, and as the sea was too rough at the resort we had to be dropped to the other side of the island and take the pathway through the jungle. It only took ten mins, but not very pleasant if you’re not a fan of reptiles and bats!
The restaurants in the hotel are good; the hillside Thai restaurant was amazing, such good food and service. The Marlin restaurant isn’t great, it has a good selection and we found the buffet option better than the a la carte. The coconut bar and grill is better, and the steaks are delicious and ours were perfectly cooked. The poolside restaurant is pretty bad and that’s due to the service, the staff are very unfriendly and slow and speak very little English. On a number of occasions our choices were not available. In fact I think that it’s the staff working at the pool bars that let the resort down and make it 4.5* rather than 5*. Sometimes there was nobody at the pool bar and when they did come it was as if you were putting them out asking for a drink, such a shame as all other staff are great. We spoke to other guests and they all felt the same about the pool staff.
We used the spa once for a couples treatment which was so relaxing and very good. Expensive, yes, but all hotel spas are. If you want something cheap and quick there are plenty of places in Tonsai. My therapist even did my hair at the end and put a nice flower in it 
This is a beautiful resort, I definitely recommend staying here and I would stay here in again, but I think that the hotel should improve the pool side service and the wifi. We didn’t need wifi in our room but it would have been nice to have it by the pool as the hotel info states.

Room Tip: Beachfront bungalows are great, and very private as there is quite a distance between your accomodat...

My (now) husband and I decided to get married abroad at one of our favourite places Phi Phi Island. After googling resorts the images of this place came up and I was instantly drawn in by its beauty. The photos don't do this resort justice, it is magnificent!! Now I thought organizing a wedding abroad would be difficult, considering the specific things we wanted & the resort did not disappoint and helped us achieve a perfect wedding. Nong-On and Pat were beyond a delight to work with, they truly made our wedding one we, our family and friends will remember forever. Words can not express how thankful we are to the amazing staff for their support and service, it surpassed all our expectations. Our friends and family who came for our wedding ALL said it was one of the most amazing places they have ever been and can't wait to come back for a trip! I would recommend this place to anyone that will listen. Do yourself a favour and book now, it lives up to its rating of Number 1 hotel on the island.

Beautifully set in the side of Ko Phi Phi and accessible only by boat, this resort has bungalows with plenty of privacy space, a gorgeous beach which mysteriously retreats into the ocean twice daily with the tides, very reasonably priced restaurants and room service as well as a nice inexpensive hotel spa. We could have spent weeks there and we spent 4 days just enjoying the weather, using Wifi in the library and hotel lobby area, walking around, and getting ultimate relaxation.
