Dived here for 5 days. The boat is a comfortable speedboat so you can whisk out at 9 am and have 2 dives and be back for about 1.30 pm to have the afternoon chilling on the beach having a massage etc.
The staff and crew could not be more helpful. They are a nice friendly crowd with a good bit of banter. Particularly Vicky and Annie who are clearly good friends and very welcoming. They have small dive groups of 4 people max. so very much tailor the dives to suit the customers. The dive guides were clearly very experienced and therefore relaxed. The diving felt very much like a group diving and having a good look around together rather than a regimented line of divers. The guides are also very passionate still about their diving and genuinely excited to find unusual creatures and point them out.
There are some great things to see here - leopard shark was a treat and we saw a few turtles and a lots of fish. But I was surprised by how much I enjoyed scouring around the sand looking for the tiny things that I might normally have missed altogether. Jakob is truly mad on his muck diving and his enthusiasm is so infectious!
They serve a really good lunch on board - either fried rice or a sandwich and find a nice spot to wait out the surface interval. And a tiny wc on board the boat.
In total, there are probably about ten people on the boat so it feels like a much more tailored customised trip rather than a mass cattle boat - we saw many boats with maybe 40 people stacked on board and it must have been like people soup underwater. We were very glad to be with black tip as they were able to move quickly to quiet sites and keep ahead of the crowds - on many dives we had the site to ourselves.
This is a really professional outfit but equally important, nice people to spend some time with.
Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.
