I spent my first night in one of the standard rooms which are accessed by the wooden walkways at the back of the resort. I found the room and bathroom a bit too basic and I didn't like the windows which had to have the curtains closed all the time if you wanted privacy. I upgraded for the next few nights and my new room was much better - it had a nice balcony, indoor and outdoor showers, a more comfortable bed and generally a better equipped and more modern room - I recommend upgrading your room if you are not on a tight budget. The resort was pleasant and quiet and had a superb night time frog and cricket chorus, it was like being in the jungle. I only ate at the hotel restaurant once and the service was quite slow, the rest of the time I went to the excellent nearby local beach restaurants. You access the resort by fishtail boat and I got mine to stop and let me snorkel so that I could cool off a bit from the long hot ferry ride from the mainland. Watch out for those extremely aggressive little damselfish - amazing how they swim straight at you even though you are hundreds of times their size.
