I stayed 3 nights 28th-31st Oct 2012, I enjoyed stay here, my bf also loved it.

We had a bangalow just 2 mins to the gorgeous private beach. Room looks romantic :), clean and spacious. Swimming pools are very nice. It was lovely when we received little note from maid everyday mostly like wishing us have a good time :) .

Breakfast is good, western and chinese breakfast (dumpling/wonton), there is sushi too.

there is a bar up on the hill open from 4.30pm-7pm where you can see wonderful sunset with your loved one :).

the disadvantages are:

food was expensive when we dint have choices because the resort was kind detached, there was only 1 convenient store with high prices and restaurant of the resort for lunch/dinner.

Stayed at Koh Phi Phi beachfront bungalow suite for three nights as a couple in Nov. 2012. The room was very expensive for Thailand however stayed here on recommendation from a friend. We thought we would splurge at the end of our Thailand trip and stay in the beachfront room.

This resort and area is the quiet section of the island for sure and we felt very secluded and it was quiet at night in the area. Greeted and given towel and welcome drink, never had to go to check in counter they come to you while you are sitting in bar area. Our room was steps away from the beach however there were trees in the way of our view so not quite what I was expecting for the price. There are some beach chairs however I had a hard time finding them mid-day and had to carry them some distance to be in front of our room.

The meals were expensive here compared to the rest of Thailand but you pay for them having to ship everything in. Ate at restaurants on resort - food was good. Also did not get breakfast included in the price so they gave a promotion if we had every breakfast there and paid up front so we did this as not lots of other choice.

Rented a speed boat to see Maya Bay (charged to room) and the whole island - nice trip and quick in the speed boat however expensive to do it this way. The beaches are beautiful here and water clear. We swam and snokeled here. Not the best for snorkeling though Smokelling gear is included for rental from hotel.

The Sunset bar has a great view at night and was quite popular spot. The activities area had things going on however didn't realize you had to pay extra for most of the items. Had two beach massages which were nice and they charge to your room. Have a store on site to purchase beer/snacks for the room. Charge to room - like to do it this way it seems.

Walked down the beach and there was another restaurant Jasmine we ate at as well. Also another Sunset bar.

The room was a nice bungalow, clean and fairly spacious. The bathroom was small and the water in the shower was warm at best as I read in other reviews. The hotel must keep the temperature low on purpose. The air conditioner works well however very noisy and loud at night.

The ferry is pretty awful experience - very long as this hotel is last stop. The luggage is piled up in a huge pile with people stepping /jumping/ pulling their luggage out of the mess. If you can leave some luggage elsewhere do it. Our luggage was on the bottom of the pile and took forever to get it out. Also very packed and hot on the ferry. It is cheapest option though to get over to the island. They get small long tailed boats to get you from ferry to hotel which was fine as very short distance. The first stop on Phi Phi was not as long a ride and is the party section-would not have been as bad. On the way back we left at 7am and didnt leave the other section (party section of Phi Phi) until 9:30am - we were on the ferry for two and a half hours before even leaving the Island which is crazy!

Overall was a nice room/resort however very expensive and felt like large chain hotel experience. This was the most expensive part of our Thailand trip and not our favorite hotel/room or experience either. We could have went South to similar beaches for way less at home. It was a nice experience but would not return here for the price we paid. Just felt like we did not get good value for what we spent.

Room Tip: Liked beachfront bungalow however felt overpriced.

the place is amazing, the snorkeling off the beach is pretty good and the food at the Jasmine restaurant (next door to the resort) is great... a great place for a relaxing holiday. the view from our room was also amazing... the beach is clean (did find some glass) and the hotel grounds are also very clean. hire the local boat owners to get you around the other island and other snorkeling places, Maya bay is also a good place to visit (early morning less people). The Resort also has a great sunset spot at the sunset bar.

PS. Try to get the morning ferry (Andaman wave master ferry) directly to the resort... the staff could also be more polite and speak better English...

We stayed between the 15th of November until 19th of 2012. We used a ferry from Phuket which was long and hot. (Next time we will take a private speed boat)
On arrival the check in was easy and well handled, the room we was comfortable (room 615). The bed was large and comfortable; the balcony was a good size with a view of the sea. The bathroom could do with updating.
Breakfast was very good and had a beautiful view over the sea.
The beach was very nice, with plenty of beach seats, the Holiday Inn claims to have a beach caddy service (serving drinks) but I saw none of this.
There restaurant was overpriced and bland. I recommend you eat at Jasmine just along the beach.
We used a private speed boat to get to our next hotel the Centara Grande Krabi. It was expensive but worth the 45 minute transfer.

This was our second visit to the Holiday Inn on Phi Phi. We stayed there last year so that should tell you something! The view, the Coral Beach Studios (501 and 502) are just magic. The staff are very friendly and professional. Nothing is a problem. The swimming, snorkeling and diving are spectacular. Just next to the Holiday Inn there are two great restaurants. The Jasmine and the Sawasdee. The pizzas in the resort are scruptious (especially the lobster pizza). You just cant beat the views..........sitting at the bar on the beach........dinner on the sand with millions of stars. Everything about the Holiday Inn is great. The beds and pillows are comfly, the rooms are clean and have everything you need, the resort pool is set in tranquil surrounds. Cant say enough great things about this hotel, its manager Carol and her team and the Sea Bees Diving Team. We can't wait to return

Room Tip: All rooms are great but if you want to be right on the water rooms 501 and 502 are your rooms. On t...

It was a long trip to get there, straight from Sao Paulo Brazil to Phi Phi but since the first step into the Hotel me and my wife were very well treated! The room was everything we could hope for, very well cleaned, excelente bed and the view was just to good to believe it (room ocean view studio)! We saw the bangalos and they look nice as well but the Studio was more then enough for us! Breakfast was a lifetime experience but the dineer was not as good!!!
To the right of the hotel there is a small restaurant in the hill (really small) but the food was the best we had in the whole Thailand! The owner is the former chef ( his name is Chef Chá) of the Holiday Inn so you just can't misse it!!! We visited the nearby islands with the long tail boat directly in the Gipsy Village (left from the hotel) and it is a little bit cheaper then in the hotel!
Our best day was diving with the Sea Bees team scheduled directly from the Hotel lobby. Busba was the name of our Diving instructor and she just treat us as Queen and King!!!Me and my wife really recommend the hotel and the diving day trip!!!

We stayed at the Holiday inn resort on Phi Phi island and had a wonderful experience.
We had a two bedroom interlocking rooms and it was ok but not smart - functional and clean as you can expect from any Holiday inn Hotel room.
The location was unbeatable as we had a seafront unit(s) and literally 20 m from the water.
The resort has about 3 Restaurants and are great value.
It has 2 x swimming pools and unfortunately closed at sunset.

Room Tip: Not really necessary to ask for a beach front apartment as all others have great views
