We stayed at this resort for 6 nights in July 2012. We enjoyed our stay and overall it's a good value for the price. But everyone contemplating a stay there should know that the music coming from the bars on this side of the island is absurdly loud and bad (dance music); it goes on until 2am 7 days a week apparently every single day of the year. The owners of this and other resorts on this side of the island should really make a deal with the bar owners; the music doesn't have to be that loud and go on for that long every single night, when there are probably only five drunk guys with their buckets full of cheap booze sitting there. Other than that, here are some more recommendations for what could be improved. The hotel doesn't provide a sheet to cover yourself with, only a blanket which probably never gets washed. If you can't persuade the hotel to give you an additional sheet, bring your own. Definitely pay the extra money to go for the airconditioned bungalows; it's completely worth it! The breakfast is very meager; I wouldn't recommend paying more for the room to include breakfast. It's best just to get breakfast in town, where they sell fresh croissants and other french pastries every morning. Other than that, the bungalows are clean; the staff is friendly; and the view are amazing; the 10 minute walk from town isn't bad at all.

The price is good but the room has nothing exceptional, there is only one fan in the room which is not enough when temperature is high

the location is not perfect has the hotel is far from the rest of the city (even if we heard the music of the parties before sleeping)

finally the view from the restaurant is amazing.
the breakfast was free but not good at all, we had to chose between an omelet or scrambled egg and a tea or a coffee.

Fine but sure that it is possible to find something beter in the region

The resort is very clean and our room was nice. We went for a bamboo bungalow with AC - a little on the expensive side but not too bad. It is about a 10 minute walk from the village up the hillside (they put us on the back of a small cab for the steepest last part to the resort which was a nice touch when we first arrived). Our first impressions were good - it has a great view from the small restaurant and a magical sunset. The girl on reception had very limited english and so could not really help us with enquires about things to do etc. Breakfast was included but was not enough. One morning we asked for toast as an extra because the muesli was not sufficient and they charged us a huge amount for 3 pieces of toast. We had read on another review that it is noisy at night but decided to book anyway thinking that it couldnt be that bad....but what a mistake! When the bars/clubs on the beach crank up the music it doesnt stop until the early hours of the morning (i think one night was about 4am). The resort provided ear plugs but even with those on it is so loud the boom boom filters through. We were not there to party and this noise was unbearable for me when trying to sleep. I definitely do not recommend staying here if you have children or are not into the partying scene and want to sleep before 4am! If we were to go back to phi phi again I would stay on a beach resort far away from the main village and never go to the village apart from arrival and leaving.

While looking for a place to stay in Phi Phi, we came across this one on a hotel website. I came to trip advisor and I found nothing, so I continued my research and learned it just happens to be avery new property which is why there were no reviews. We read one really nice review from a girl from Oregon and decided to book it. I have to say, of all the places I stayed in Thailand, this is by far my favourite. Not only is Phi Phi one of the best places of 7 that we overnighted at.

When we got to Phi Phi, we walked for a bit, while one nice young man carted around everyones bag in a big wheel-barrow style trolley, then a truck picked us up to take us the rest of the way. The paths leading to reception were small and tight; I have no idea how our driver got us all the way to reception- the roads were so unbelievably narrow! -or even how he got it out, backwards!

They were still building some of the fancy work around the hotel, but there is a big closed in gazebo as the main reception, and it is so gorgeous! There is a huge lookout attached, as there is a large deck attached; below the deck is the kitchen/bar. We never had time for breakfast so we missed out on reviewing that, but the serving staff consisted of a young man from Burma, named Soh. He was fantastic! He lugged our bags around once our room was ready for check in, and carried them all over the short hilly walk and then up the stairs to our beautiful, homey, bungalow. This bungalow had a spectacular view, a hammock (that I never would have left if it werent for going into town.) Air conditioning, a safe, beautiful bathroom, I could go on. It was amazing.

The noise from the beach is quite loud, however, any seaview resort along that road is going to be plagued with the same problem. We didnt mind so much because we are young and made our way down to the beach action also.

It is a bit of a hike from all the action, but Soh showed us a shortcut. The shortcut isn't great at night, as it is not lit, and its a bit so a makeshift path, so you might easily get lost.

If you choose to stay here, I hope you enjoy this beautiful place as much as we did!!

It's OK for a shoestring-budget honeymoon. It's a nice walk from the town and a perfect cardio-workout to get to your room. A word about acoustics: The bars in the town (500m away at the bottom of the hill) play loud music until quite late. When you're near them in town, you can barely hear them; but up on that hill, you can hear ALL of them at the same time!
The room was clean, and despite some small inconveniences, we had a good time.
