The problem is, if you are reading this, it's not because you are looking to stay here, it's likely because you got sucked into staying here because you were tired of walking about Koh Phi Phi Don and just wanted a room. The guy who offered it to you had pictures of a different room, from some other hotel.
It seemed like the guesthouse had just been thrown together yesterday, with paper thin temporary walls, flooring that didn't extend all the way to said walls and doors that hardly closed. The metal roofing outside was loose in places and would rattle and bang with the wind making you feel like the building would collapse. The rooms were dirty and the bed had ants crawling over it.
You will be staying with a bunch of total idiot tourists who will steal your sandals, shatter windows in the middle of the night, and be drunk all day, so it's hard to blame the guesthouse for not going out of their way to help you. They probably just assume you're going to be a terrible person. For this you must put down a 500 baht deposit, and we heard that you can have a difficult time getting it back. Be sure to get a receipt, and if you really didn't damage anything, stand your ground and keep asking until you get it back.
The one good thing about the guesthouse was the internet, it was blazing fast, which was great for us since we had some work to do and didn't really like Koh Phi Phi.
