“Great location, well run hotel”
Reviewed October 28, 2013 via mobile

My wife chose this hotel and we were very happy with it. The room was clean, good shower and spacious. Compared to other areas of thailand it was more expensive but this is phi phi don so we expected that.

The reception staff member was very friendly and helpful.

Some reviews have complained about the rules or signage but i believe these are in place to benefit the guest. No one wants a sandy room and its no big deal to take off your thongs, i appreciated the signs about noise as some guests dont seem to care about making noise late at night but we appreciated the hotel reminding staff to think of others.

The location is great as its close to everything but away from the bars so you know you wont be kept up all night by noise.

There is a great bakery across from the hotel fir breakfast and a nice restaurant on the corner for tasty thai food, there is also a mini mart right next door and it is located nicely between the pier and beach.

Everyone is different but we were very happy.

PP Insula was considered to be a luxurious stay for a lone traveler myself . They had all the necessary amenities like a safe security box, balcony to try your wet stuffs, Wifi access was fantastic tv had nice movie channels to view, fridge had drinking water replaced daily.
There were some in-house rules like taking off scandals and shoes but it was good as it kept the sand particles away and main door entrance was magnetically locked after 7pm so I felt very safe in this hotel. The location was very good too, it was near all the dive centers and close to local eateries if you're planning for water activities and dine in the local way.
Overall experience was good, the hotel boss and stuff put on a traditional Thai welcoming smile all the time and gave me the information I needed when I enquired with them. Checked out early on my last day and they even refunded me the remaining amount.

If you're a couple or single traveller who wouldn't mind splurging slightly more, consider PP Insula!

Checked into this hotel for two nights after leaving the JJ Bungalows because they were awful, the PP Insula hotel was like luxury for us! Staff were friendly and helpful and let us check in early, good central location, clean and spacious rooms...although not much of a view from the second floor, however it was nice to have a balcony to chill out on!! Only a few mins walk from the pier and easy enough to find! Overall we really enjoyed it here, and would recommend it to anyone staying on Phi Phi Island, for the price we paid (about 30 euro a night) it's well worth the money! (We paid the same price at the bungalows which were a lot worse!!)
Siam Uk travel agent/tours located at the end of the street is excellent and very reliable for booking day trips, ferry tickets etc!!

Myself and my partner stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. We followed the directions from another poster below and got there from the pier within 5 minutes walk. It's very central but we found the room quiet. There is a nice balcony but the view from second floor isn't great, maybe can see the sea from higher floors. But it was nice to sit on balcony :) room was very clean. We opted not to get our room cleaned the second day as we wanted to sleep late so me put the do not disturb sign on door and they left us a bag with free water and toilet paper on the door which is very good! Air con worked very well and there was a bottle opener in the room which was convenient. We asked to check out an hour late and they let us do so at no extra charge which was very much appreciated. The receptionist offered to mind our luggage and gave details on where to buy tickets for the boat which was very helpful. Overall we found this a Good value hotel for €30 per night because Phi Phi hotels are very expensive anyway.

I was nervous about booking a place on PP, I didn't want a backpacker inn but also don't want anything to expensive. PP Insula was perfect! It's right in the heart of Tsunami Village (only called that because of 2004 Tsunami that hit Thailand. Clean rooms, great size, great shower, friendly staff. A little hard to find at first but I just kept asking people and I found it on the first try. It's about a 5 minute walk from the pier. I will definitely stay here again and tell my friends too.

Great hotel in Phi Phi Island, the cost of accommodation on the island. It is located in the center of Tonsai, where restaurants, markets, bars, beach and harbor are within walking distance. Very quiet hotel, rooms are spacious and clean, the Wi Fi. For electronic door locks deposit of 600 THB. Liked to stay in the hotel!

Room Tip: taken into a room with a view of the market, amazing

Simple nice rooms centrally located in the village. Very close to the beach. Pretty quiet but a lot of light at night from nearby businesses. Staff kept a watchful eye and gave a helping hand. Price seemed fair for Phi Phi Don. Place is not fancy or hip but clean and pleasant.
