“Incredible place!”
Reviewed June 24, 2014 via mobile

This place was recommended to us by a diving promoter which we then checked against trip advisor and was ranked #13 at the time of writing this. The owner/chef was hilarious, and a great host who catered to all needs. The food was some of the nicest Thai I've had in Thailand - i highly recommend the Penang curry!!

“Delish!!”
Reviewed June 23, 2014

Such a great place to eat amazing Thai food with amazing value for money. Staff are super friendly and help you through the menu, checking how hot you would like your dish and making it exactly as requested! Had the best fried rice and Penang curry in Thailand. Chicken spring rolls are delish too.loved people's hand written reviews and the wall and the fridge cats too.
A little hard to find - it's down a little alley across from Dojo bar.We promised we would be back but unfortunately had to leave phi phi earlier than planned. We would of easily eaten here for our whole trip though. Worth a visit!

“Eating delicious food in comfort”
Reviewed June 10, 2014

Went to the branch that has air conditioning. A great respite from the heat.

Between the 2 of us, we tried:
1. spring rolls
2. pad thai
3. banana chocolate pancake

The spring rolls were fresh out of the pan, so they were hot and crispy. A great start to the meal.

The pad thai and banana chocolate pancake were prepared at booths placed just outside the restaurant. The portion of the pad thai was generous and was one of the better versions I had so far. But the best was still the pancake. Never had I tasted such delicious pancake, compared to others that I have tried in various parts of Thailand, this was the best! It was crispy, and both the banana and chocolate were generously covering the entire pancake! Don't forget to try it if you step foot in Phi Phi!

“Delicious food, big portions, amazing staff. Great prices too.”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

We had lunch here every day we were on Phi Phi. It was amazing every time, delicious food and huge portions, and far more affordable than every other restaurant we came across. The chilli chicken cashew nut is amazing. Spring rolls were actually the best I've ever had. The spicy salad is also lovely, and unbelievably filling for a salad! Aside from the really great food, the best thing about Papaya is the atmosphere and the staff. We had the warmest, friendliest greeting each time we went and the staff were genuinely really friendly and happy to have you in the restaurant. Don't miss out on Papaya. (It's just down the little alley to the side of Dojo Bar in the middle of the town)

“Best restaurant in Ko Phi Phi!”
Reviewed June 5, 2014 via mobile

You cant go wrong with Papaya! Once you go there, you have to come back!

Staff is extremely caring without being pushy, food is amazing, plus they have a/c! Have I mentioned they're as cheap as anything in Thailand?

Try the massaman curry and maybe a mango lassi and get ready to fall in love!
