We booked this hotel for 2 nights at the tourist office after arriving by ferry. The pictures of this hotel on show at the office made it look far nicer than it was in reality. After talking to other travellers, we found that this seemed to be a common problem with many hotels in the islands.
First impressions weren't too bad as the reception area was ok. Then we were shown to our bungalow! The furniture was very old, of poor quality and dropping to bits. The bathroom was awful, the tiling was old and stained, the shower had no power and wasn't very warm. The front door was split and didn't fit it's frame very well. I checked out a couple of other bungalows, and they were of the same poor standard.
On the positive side, the bedding and towels were clean and the breakfast was ok (but not great). The air conditioning worked ok, so that was a bonus. We could only face 1 night, and so asked for a refund for the 2nd night, but were refused. We left anyway.
The cost of a room during the easter holidays was 2500 baht. There are far better places on Phi Phi for the same cost. Give this one a miss.More
