Phi Phi Andaman Legacy
Ranked #14 of 64 Ko Phi Phi Don B&B and Inns
Reviewed February 27, 2014

We booked this last year after staying at a similar beach hut type resort in Di Karpaz in Northern Cyprus, how wrong we were!
After travelling over by ferry from Phuket and being shown to our bungalow, I knew straight away that this was not for us.
The condition of the bungalow was, poor. In fact my garden shed back home is better appointed.
We were offered our money back by the most obnoxious of receptionists.
We tried various other hotels but being the end of February they were all full.
We then paid a further THB 7200 to stay in a newer development at the rear of the complex.
Much better, good sized room with separate shower, air conditioning that worked, a nice seating area outside, and better decor.
The location is perfect for access to the boat taxi/trips.
It is relatively quiet at night and has spectacular views.
The staff at breakfast are excellent and nothing too much trouble and as always service with a smile.
The ladies who run the reception area in the mornings are really lovely. If you have any issues, wait until the morning as the 2 Rottweilers in the afternoon/ evening are just not up to front of house.
There is a mosque next to the hotel, but it fear rather lapse in its convictions as I only heard the call to prayer a handful of times.
The pool area is a good size in comparison to the other resorts, but the pool furniture is sparse and uncomfortable. Some padded seating is required.
It was always going to be the most expensive part of our holiday, and we were right.
There is a 1 day boat trip service operated by U Rip Boat Service, from 9.30 in the morning to 7.00 in the evening which travels to all the beauty spots of PP, and frankly the best money you will ever spend.

We had an awesome stay at Andaman Legacy.

From the Pier it's a lovely 15 mins walk along the sea. The hotel is clean, rooms are spacious and well equipped.

Breakfast was superb and included.

The friendliness of the employees there was incredible, special thanks to the two girls at the Reception :

Ms. ANOTHAI
Mrs. PREEDA
...both went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Will be back !!

I'm surprised that this place isn't more highly rated. I really enjoyed our stay there.

Accommodation on Phi Phi is really expensive and this was the cheapest place we could find which had decent reviews. We booked on Booking.com.

One of the hotel staff met us with a trolley on the pier when we arrived by ferry from Phuket (there are no cars or motorbikes on the island) and transferred our luggage to the hotel, they also transferred it back to the pier when we left. We arrived fairly early so had to wait an hour or so before our room was ready but could use the pool and the hotel facilities in the meantime. We were also given a nice cool towel and welcome drink on arrival. Reception staff were friendly and efficient.

We stayed in one of the cheaper rooms which are all around the pool with their own private balcony. They are a bit dated but more private than the superior rooms whose balconies are all close together. Our room was fairly simple but huge, with big comfortable bed, storage, air con, fridge, TV, bathroom with powerful shower.

The pool wasn't huge but a decent size and nice to swim in. There is a limited amount of seats around the pool but since our balcony was so close we could use that as well. The place was quiet at night so we slept well.

There was free wi-fi of a decent speed throughout the resort including in our rooms and around the pool.

All the staff we came across were really friendly and the whole place was really clean and well kept athough my boyfriend thought that the walkways could be redone as some of them looked very worn down.

Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked eggs, cereals, fruit, and proper bread for toast (not the sweet stuff which you often find in Asia).

Location was good, about a 10-15 minute walk to the pier and about the same to the centre of town and the start of the stairs up to the viewpoint.

Would recommend if you're looking for something that is nice, has a pool and is not extortionately expensive.

overall ok,have not spend that much time at the resort as there is alot to do but had a good sleep and enjoyed the swimming pool. small shop is basically in the resort and to go into "town" is a 5-10 minute walk with always a beautifull view.

Lovely stay, good size hotel in a great location - quiet enough and close to everything. Reception at the separate building to the hotel so the stay is quiet and secluded. Pool area handy if you need a break from the beach. Breakfast included and very good. Sea view room was on the 3rd floor and very good size with small balcony.

The only critique was that either staff or other guests kept banging the door shut at such force and noise - it made the room shake! And there is a mosque next door so there may be a 5am wake up call :)

Room Tip: Seaview, 3rd floor

Stayed here for 3 nights and wish we were staying more, everyone was so lovely the place was spotless 24/7 and the staff could not do enough for you. We arrived on phi phi pier and there was a man there with a sign he quickly took our bags and walked to the hotel which was a couple of mins away although it was the middle of the day and he must have been boiling he always had a smile on his face. Arrived at reception and got a freezing cold flannel and drink to cool us down the same man took our bags to our room! Couldn't fault this hotel at all would recommend to everyone going to phi phi !!!!

Two young female travellers from Australia; stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is resort style with lovely and friendly staff. Rooms were satisfactory, average size however the bathroom did have a very strange and unpleasant smell (but we got used to it haha).

The island is small so doesn't matter where you go or stay you don't have a long walk to find your way back. The hotel is very close to the beach and the pool is cute. Overall we had a pleasant stay.
