“Comfortable & Convenient”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2011

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It was in a really good location – very close to the beach, restaurants, sports shops, and far enough away from the louder bars. The room (especially the bathroom) was really clean, comfortable and had really good air conditioning. The hotel had a very nice and clean swimming pool area. The breakfast buffet had a pretty good assortment of foods, which were quite tasty. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay there again!

I stayed at the P.P. Palm Tree for the second time and enjoyed it once again. I stayed in a suite on the top floor and was a little disappointed because it was not as large as the suite I stayed in on my previous stay but it was still nice. The hotel is very close to town and makes it easy to go to dinner and enjoy the bars. The pool is very small and kind of feels like the court yard in a prison. I would recommend going to the beach and renting a lounge chair for 200 baht a day and enjoying the scenery. There are hotels with better pools and views of the water on Phi Phi but the Palm Tree probably has the nicest rooms.

We travelled through southern thailand the last two weeks and decided to stay at palmtree resort on phi phi island
The good thing is that it is a couple of minutes walk from the pier where the ferry arrives.
There are no cars nor will there be anyone helping you with your suitcases.
The resort has no wifi or internet access. Make sure you get a room on the ground floor because there is no elevator nor will there be anyone helping you with your luggage.

Make sure you meet the breakfast deadline of 1000 am or all hell will break loose!
Staff is not flexible nor did they receive any training in hospitality management.
Rooms were clean and decent.
Make sure you have a print of your voucher showing the booking because they will send you away without the right docs!
Without the AC on the room will turn into a Burmese political prison camp sweat box turning your night into a true sauna experience and waking up on a soaked matras.

currently in the hotel for honeymoon, stayed 2 nights but didn't sleep a minute..
there are bedbugs.. - i have actually seen them..
when i went to the reception they laughed at me... asked for a different room, even a twin bed (on a honey moon!!!) but they ignored me and walked away...
i still have 2 nights there with no options to cancel so i don't know what to do...
i know the location is good but since this whole island is 20 minutes from side to side then a location is not what you should think about...

Hotel looked and seemed nice. Nice pool, rooms tidy, simple but nice.

However, the place stinked as it was surrounded by all the thai shops on phi phi don. This hotel is bordered smack bang against by all the food shops and stalls.

You can't bring guests in after 10pm because there is no one there to check them in. So single guys that's a downer! (everyone staying has to provide a passport)

The room was full of mosquitos ( but so is the Island itself!) and after leaving I thought I had been bitten which is strange as mossies don't normally get me. Turns out my legs and arms are covered in Bed Bug bites!!!

In short I wouldn't stay there again because of this! The bed bug bites ruined my last week in Thailand!

The hotel is in a great location - minutes from the beach but away from the louder bars. The room was on the smaller side compared to other resorts in Thailand (we stayed in a deluxe room on the first floor) but was very clean with good air con and the bed was comfortable. The resort provided beach towels which were changed on a daily basis. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we were met from the ferry by a member of staff who carried our bags to the hotel. The breakfast buffet had a good selection and ran to a decent time in the morning. They also assisted in getting our bags to the return ferry in heavy rain and kept them dry which was much appreciated!

Room Tip: More privacy in the non pool access rooms
