The menu at the restaurant is exhaustive because it is a part of a 4 star resort property but the food is expensive and the taxes they charge is simply outrageous.
The taste is good but definitely there is a scope for improvement. One more thing I would like to mention here is the attitude of the restaurant staff is not pleasant it is actually tends towards being rude, so that is one more action item that needs to be taken by the resort management.

We had lunch there and though the food was pricey, it was tasty and filling. We tried slow roasted duck and it was full of flavour, tender and remainded of home cooked Sunday roast. The staff if very attentive, but not intrusive.

Like some other reviewers we thought the food was average and overpriced, and the staff inattentive. We ended up eating mostly in the friendly little village just a few metres walk up the path by the restaurant, where there are many nicer and cheaper local places to choose from.

Last night had the most delicious live Thai buffet...am TOTALLY and passionately in love with the Tom Kha Gai soup I had ( 3 helpings)...( chicken in coconut milk and lime, w galangal & kaffir lime leaves) and a superb red duck curry, Geang Phed Ped Yang ..its a red curry with roasted duck, pineapple, grapes, eggplant & basil leaves ( it was so good i actually had the second helping without any rice). Live barbecued satays of every kind, freshly made pad thai, mango, papaya salads & all kinds of stir fried, deep fried, grilled, steamed and boiled local delicacies!. Marlin at Outrigger Resort in Phi Phi Island is a yum,fun place to eat. Slightly upscale on the wallet. But good, friendly service, ambience, comfy... my kid got soaked and started freezing and one of the servers Oz was kind enough to make him a table cloth cape and dry off his shirt :)The desserts were just ok...only thought the coffee, choc pudding w vanilla sauce worth digging into... must go for the curries tho...trying their soft crab curry today :)

Staff is spending time for chatting. Not 5* hotel's restaurant's service. Only when giving TIP in advance they start to move... not good impression from hotel and from Thai people....
