“Acceptable room for the young party crowd”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2012

We found this resort after walking around haad rin... It's so close to everything... About 10 minute walk to the FMP...
We are not picky.. We have realistic expectations and all we wanted was a clean room to stay in after going to the parties....

We stayed on the 2nd floor, away from the pool. Our tv and aircon worked fine and our room was cleaned everyday...

Yes, we could hear the loud music from the pool area, but we only went to our room to sleep, and it did not keep us up...

I used the laundry service, which was more expensive than other places, but still affordable... Im just happy they did not lose any clothing.

Our room was very dark, we had to turn on our lights even in the daytime... The bathroom was dingy, and had light flooding from the shower... We just wore flip flops in the bathroom, so it did not bother us too much.

We ordered room service once, the food was ok.. We were too tired to walk to a restaurant.

Don't come here if you want a 5 star service or room. But this is perfect if you are a young group only looking for a place to sleep while partying... And if you won't be sleeping much...

I think we paid between 1,200 to 1,500THB a night, 5 night minimum... We will consider other resorts closer to the beach next time, but if everything affordable is sold out, we would stay here again. I'll be sure to buy ear plugs next time.

Me and my fellas stayed here for 6 nights just after the full moon party in June 2012. I think this hotel is empty for 3 weeks of the month and then busy for full moon week. When we were there, it felt like we were the only guests staying there. We arrived the day after full moon party and the place was quite frankly a mess. The main noticeable thing was the pool - it was filthy, you couldnt see the bottom which led to none of us going in it.But this is to be expected as everyone gets fu*ked up at full moon and that therefore leads to everywhere getting trashed. The rooms themselves were ok, had everything you need (ac, tv & safe). The one thing that were terrible we're the beds. My bed was the worst, most uncomfortable bed I have slept in, in SE Asia. You could feel multiple springs which leads to a terrible nights sleep. Also the shower was crap and kept losing pressure which was annoying.
The staff were farely friendly and helpful from my experience. The location of the hotel is also pretty good, located about 5 mins away from the beach and all the restaurants and bars but far enough away so it's not too noisy.
The price was also good, we had a two bedroom family room which was 1,499 tbh per night which was pretty good value.
Overall, there are positives and negatives to this hotel. If you want a chilled out trip, don't stay here during full moon week because this is one of the biggest party hotels on the island. But once full moon finishes the place really changes and becomes quiet. It's not the best hotel I've ever stayed in, but I guess it was ok for the price.

My 3 friends and I stayed at Drop In Club for a week whilst there was a half moon party on. The staff were very friendly, and very helpful - especially Charlie! We were the only people staying in the entire hotel! Which was a bit eery and creepy, but very good when it came to trying to getting a sun bed to tan on, or when it came to room service. The room was cleaned completely every day. They never played loud music or had foam parties while we were there, but again thats because we werent staying in the FULL MOON PARTY period. The location is alright, its about a 10 minute walking distance from the beach and the main strip - but we would just ride our scooters down there anyways.

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights during a Full Moon Party. The rooms were decent and clean, but the hotel is run down, dirty (there were dirty plates in the hallway from people ordering room service and leaving them outside the room to be picked up, which stayed there the whole time we were there) and we did not feel safe there-anybody could walk in and out of the place as reception is a room outside the hotel which you did not have to pass to enter the building, the floors were tiled and always wet so was alway slipping when walking and the elevator kept breaking down as well as having a hole in the floor!
The staff also were unhelpful and did not have a clue. We booked the boat to Koh Samui, which included transport to harbour, however on the day, the staff turned round and said they could no longer take us to the harbour and we had to find our own way there. We ended up dragging our 30KG bags ourselves down there which was not fun in 40oc heat!
Very close to where all the action is for the Full Moon, but nothing else to do so I would suggest staying elsewhere and travelling in for the Full Moon Party.

In all of my travels this is the WORST place i have ever stayed in my life! Stayed there with a group of 20 friends for the full moon party and wished we had caught the ferry from Koh Samui!!! The people in reception were SO dumb and spoke poor English, then they tried to trick us into going to this really expensive dinner! They also lost our reservation and it took an hour to sort it out! We booked for 3 people in our room but we arrived to 2 single beds which had tears in the sheets! 2 days after the full moon party the blood through the walkways was never cleaned up, room service plates never removed and the linen still piled up in the hallways! Worst part apart from people urinating into the pool from the dance floor was the shower - argh absolute nightmare!!!!!! The free buffet breakfast was stone cold and so disgusting we ran out looking for the nearest restaurant! DONT EVER STAY HERE!!!!

I stayed here for 4 nights in feb over the full moon party week. First of all the elevator to level 3 were my room was didnt work, the button to level 3 didnt work so we had to go upto 4 and walk down a level. I found cockroaches in my bedroom, the toilet seat was broken. One night i went to sleep and i woke up my friend during the night asking if he could smell something, it smelt like gas and it was coming from the aircon, it was so bad we turned it off and never put it back on. The foam party was really average, its not worth staying at drop in for them so dont be sucked and find yourself a better place on the beach to stay. It was also abit of a walk from the beach and main part of the shops. The only good thing about this our room was the amazing view we had of the beach looking towards koh samui, each night we could see the sunset and the balcony was very large and the best thing about the room we had. I still had a great time at the drop in but i wouldnt stay again.

my friend and i stayed here for the most recent Full Moon party 7/2/12-11/2/12. Ofcourse we had to book a 5 night minimum...
the staff are rude and unhelpful, the shower didnt work-it would turn on for 10 seconds, then off for about 20, then be boiling hot and then slowly die out cold again (very annoying after a beach party or swimming all day).
I didnt sleep for 5 nights, the bed was so uncomfortable and could feel every single spring, with rock hard pillows, not nice after a night out.
Swimming in the pool is almost impossible due to the "foam party", which was a poor excuse for a selling point. They didnt not put enough chlorine in it and you could not see the bottom of the pool for the next 5 days-very disappointing as you pay extra for this facility.
The "gym", is open to viewing from the pool with less than adequate equipment.
The breakfast is a poor excuse for food, served once at 6:30am and i assume not replaced at all, by 8:30 the food is gone or stone cold.
Our sheets were not changed, and we had to request this twice, and we only got given 1 towel and 1 water, when there was clearly two people. they also didnt clean the bathroom, purely made the bed and literally threw the pillows on.
Also, if you are planning to stay here for full moon, even though only about a 5 minute walk from the party and main streets, you get hit with a 100BAHT entry fee, which you cannot avoid, a bit annoying.
I would not recommend and definitely not stay here again.
