mass tourism related only to the night parties alcohol-based and techno music...all the local life goes around parties hours so if you want to have breakfast at 10am everything is closed except for phamacies and markets like 7 eleven

Never again. They only are after picking your pocket, This is not real Thailand
Copy alcohol, rude staff, no good DJ´s
We went to a fullmoon party, but never will you see us in Had Rinn agin.
The rest off this beautiful island is great, we love the jungle party, but Had Rinn gotta change a lot if they not want to close down very soon

The beach has beautiful white sand and an excellent place for sun bathing.By night the beach turns to a great night life venue, the bars, the music and the buckets are the highlights with the huge number of tourists.there is alot of accommodations to suit your taste.i didnt have enough time here but im planning to go there soon for thee next fullmoon party.people who r seeking for party/just for enjoying the white sand, this is the best place to go.

This is a fun place to go if you want to party a lot, but there are better beaches on Koh Phangan if you want to just relax.  This was my 4th time here and I think I'm getting too old for it now lol.  I stayed at Palita Lodge which I think is the best accommodation right on the sunrise beach, but its still quite rustic.  The beach is noisy at night till late but if you get to the beach by midday, it'd almost deserted.
Make sure you get a place with a pool because there are sometimes little stingy things in the ocean that, over time, get too much and you can't stay in for long.  The sunset beach is unswimmable due to a reef, but if you prefer a pool and peace, then Sarikantang is highly recommended.  Restaurants are all pretty rustic and cater for backpackers.
