We are acouple in our mid 20's who travelled around Asia on a 3 week holiday. We stayed in the Panviman after 4 days in Samui. We booked a relaxing package, but it was anything but!!!! First of all the trip from the port to the hotel was nerve racking! There are no roads for the majority of the 40 minute bumpy trip which is located on the north east side of the island. We stayed in a deluxe room overlooking the sea, which was far from deluxe. The room had a horrific mixed stench of must and dampness, and nightly we had a visitor in our room ranging from cockroaches to crickets. Included on our package was the majority of our meals: the breakfast was nice, good selection, lunch from the pool bar which was also ok. The Stone Beach restaurant however, was a totally different experience. On our last night both of us got food poisoning from the bbq prawns served by this restaurant, which was something we could of done without, considering we had to take our bumpy ride to the airport, a boat and also a plane the following day. The beach restaurant just up from the resort is quite nice, probably one of the best meals we had in Thailand.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyoneMore
