Ive been to all the beaches on the island and for me this is the best one, its got a really laid back atmosphere and there are some free deck chairs. the water is very calm. You can walk over to the small island along a sand bar.

Beautiful beach, wonderful sunsets and starry nights. Water is clean and warm. Very few people, mostly couples and families, and an occasional group of Chinese tourists. Loads of shady trees to hide from the sun. Several nice family restaurants and mini bars. Good quality massage, if you visit the old ladies.

On the downside. Ko Ma island is very dirty, probably used as dumping grounds, disappointing how people treat their natural wonders. The water is shallow, it is very difficult to go for a decent swim. The sea bed is covered with very sharp stones and corals, which cut like a razor blade, quite a few sea urchins are also present. The beach is home to several huge colonies of ants, that pack quite a bite (own skin tested). At night the view is worsened by the fishing boats, whose green led lights are everywhere.

To summarize, the beach has great looks, is very romantic, beautiful day and night (if you don't mind the green led lights from fishing boats at night) has nice food places and is quiet, but it is definitely not a perfect place for those that love to go for a swim, most of the people stick to walking with a mask or sitting in the water.

This beach has only enough water to swim in winter, but in that time it is one of the best snorkeling places of Koh Phangan.

The many palms and trees invite to sit in the shadow enjoy watching the ocean, the two restaurants nearby are good enough to eat there, too.

We went here in the morning so as to enjoy without too many people. The beach has very nice sand and the view is fantastic. On a clear day you can see Ang Thong.

However in dry season and low tides its difficult to swim here.

First what a lovely pool this was and also great rooms, we had a deluxe and the balcony was huge and overlooked the pool which was fab, the food is very good at the resort but we also ate on on the restaurant to the left when you go onto the beach and they had lovely BBQ White snapper with salad and all the thai dishes were amazing especially the pork with thai basil HUGE you could share. The rooms are kept very clean and the breakfast was very good with good choices and a good mix which changes daily.
