Fish At Thips is a wonderful and authentic little Thai seafood restaurant, serving delicious home cooked Thai staples. We've just eaten there for the second night in a row and are already planning our next visit, which, given that we only have another 3 nights on this island, tells you all you need to know about high highly we rate this place. From the second you step foot in the restaurant you are made to feel very welcome and it is a delight to see the open kitchen busying away. The lovely women who work there (it may be a coincidence but both nights we were there we didn't see a man involved in proceedings) really give it a homely feel and we genuinely felt like we were the guests in someone's home. Food wise, it was all tasty; the first night we had tempura prawns and veg, veggie spring rolls, chicken satay and pad thai. All were beautifully cooked and portion size was spot on. We washed it all down with multiple strawberry daiquiris. This evening's meal followed largely the same format, although we subbed in some calamari, a Tom Yum soup exploding with flavour and a succulent and very generous portion of BBQ sea bass. Again, a delicious meal, this time accompanied by a very reasonable (both in taste and price) bottle of rosé. We can't speak highly enough of this place and, after a rather dubious dining experience in Haad Rin on night 1, this has restored our faith in the island and it's culinary potential. If the message has not come through loud enough or clear enough yet, let me finish by spelling it out: go here, you won't regret it
