Cosy Bungalows

The bungalows here were very basic but they were clean and spacious. The common area was loud with films being played but otherwise comfy. The food was reasonably priced.

The walk into town down the beach was pure bliss and the beach was empty which was nice compared to Koh Samui's overcrowded beaches!!

We didn't go out at night here as the walk into town was dark and as 2 females we didn't fancy it but we stocked up on food at the 7 eleven and food market in the day and made our way back just before sunset.

The agent booked thid bungalow for us. It is a very basic room, no refrigator, which was bad as it is very hot on the islandand everytime you want water you must buy it at the resort. This became very expensive.
One plus we rented a motorbike from them which was very cheap and the person who assisted us was very helpful. The island ityself has many lovely beaches and night market was very good, large variety of food sold there, which was inexpensive.
For young people who like the night life this accommodation would ok.

Room Tip: Bungalows not suitable for a mature person

We had this place booked for us by I.T.A.T in Bangkok, again, this company is the biggest scam in Thailand, we do not understand why the government does not step in and close them down, they advertise as government run, they are not.
Now for the bungalows, we got there at 7:30 at night, the place was booked 1 month before, they had to check if it was ready, we were supposed to have 1 bed, we ended up with two, they moved us the next day. We went to the room, there was no toilet paper, no glasses, no water, no soap, no Wifi in the rooms, no coat hangers, no night tables, no chairs to sit. They told us upon check in they only clean the rooms when you request it. They are completely concrete, the beds are on a concrete slab about 5 in. off the floor with rock hard beds. The beds had a very thin sheet full of lint balls all over them, right over the mattress, you could see the mattress through the sheet. The a/c was very noisy. When I asked them if they had water they said they don't provide it, when I asked for coat hangers, they said, we don't provide them. In short you get a rock hard bed and a shower with two towels that had holes in them. There is no beach just huge rocks and then the water. I am quite sure the cushions at the restaurant have never been washed. The average age of their guests is 24. they blast music until the wee hours and is all you near is a very loud bass. We are quite sure you would get more in a hostel for less money. They do not speak any English so trying to get breakfast was a complete joke. I know they do not have what we have, however, if you are in this business you have to be friendly to your guests and speak the minimum English. This is a great place for very young people if they are not fussy, absolutely not for a mature couple. I guess they don't care because when we left they had someone waiting to come in and I find this very sad. It is all about the money for these guys and they do not trust anyone for a second. Breakfast was included for us, I had water one morning and when we left for our room the guy came running and wanted 10 baths for the water, we were so disgusted. We would NEVER return here.

There are alot of rules and questions asked ("receptionist" put up a fight with anything we asked) Dark bungalows. Although we did have a ride to and from pier, it was in some dirty old little truck and a guest had to sit in the box with the bags. Terrible "lobby" with a tv blasting bad movies. Just an all around yucky vibe. We moved after one night.
