“Great management, pity about the location”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

Firstly I have to say the hosting family who look after this place are first class, when i arrived i was unwell the manager immediately insisted on taking me to the pharmacy on his scooter, because of this i was fit the next day for the full moon party, secondly he saved me a lot of grief... I took off in the morning and forgot to collect my passport, as i was about to board the ferry he came quickly down the road on his scooter and got me just in time!!
Apart from that I found their excellent service overall i.e food (great pad thai) laundry was excellent, they done my laundry in a hurry because i was leaving the next morning, also my door wasn't locking very well and they had it fixed immediately
Downside... well the location isn't fantastic but we only stayed here for the full moon then went on, the nearby beach isn't a great sight and there is very little within walking distance however they do hire scooters really cheap. And the beds... hard as a rock, but again i only stayed 2 nights and it was a good last minute place for such a cheap price. but all things considered for the price it was you cant complain.

Stayed here for 3 nights around full moon party. The bungalow was small, with only 1 plug socket and a bathroom full of ants. The wood of the bungalow let loads of mozzies in which made for an uncomfortable sleep.
The location was not within walking distance of many places to eat/drink but not far from the beach for a nice stroll.
We did walk along the road to the 'Fishermans restaurant', this served gorgeous food, defo go here!
The location was not a massive problem, as the road has songtheuws going up and down, so only 10 minutes either way to Thong Sala or Had Rin (FMP) where theres a great choice of places to eat, shops etc.
Overall, we didn't pay much for this place and feel we got what we paid for. If you don't mind a very basic bungalow this is fine for FMP time as you are literally not spending much time in it anyway. I would rather stay closer to or in Had Rin next time, just for the convenience of walking back after the full moon and having the freedom to walk to restaurants and bars without relying on or paying for transport.

The place is in the middle of nowhere but there is a beach nearby and the next village is in a walking distance. Also from the Full moon party, the taxi doesn't take too long. The breakfast is ok as well as the bungalows. The only problem besides the burglary what happened is that there are no safety boxes in bungalow. However, they do have some sort of locked boxes at the office.

So why I rated the place terrible:

During the night we were out, the padlock of our bungalow was broken with the resort’s own hammer (the marks fit for it and it was still on the construction site) and during that invasion, we lost our laptop and snorkeling gear but the rest of our staff was left untouched. We had kept the laptop earlier at the office but that night we left out so late we didn't want to carry it back to the office. Therefore, this time, we left it locked in a backpack which was opened with a knife during the break-in. We still have no idea who broke in but during that night the personnel were the only ones knowing that we had that laptop in our cottage. On the following day, we went to police and tried to talk with the owners who weren't helpful at all. I tried to contact them later on without any response to messages or calls from my thai phone. This all might just have been truly bad luck but you never know… Anyhow, I would not go there again and would recommend others to do the same.

Very clean and friendly staff. The problem is that you are in the middle of nowhere. Taxis are B100 per person per pop so you really need a bike. If it rains, you are stuffed as there is no social / common area. Restaurant is being built so you are confined to your room. Nearby beaches are nothing to shout about. If he tide is high, there is no beach at all. You have to walk 15 mins to get anything decent.

I spent 4 nights in one bungalow with fan and cold water..
The place was clean and tidy, people at the reception are very kind and helpfull, i did my loundry, rent a motorbike and booked tickets for my boat trips.
The only thing is that they were building something like a new hall so in the morning there were some ugly noises.
In the end I had a very good experience there!!
