The Bungalows here are beach front, they are all pretty spacious, well maintained and most have a hammock outside for you to laze around in when you are oh so tired of the beach.
The beach - Haad Yao West, from my understanding this is one of the prettiest beaches on the island, it thankfully has not been "developed" to within an inch of its life (see Haad Salad), yet still has a nice selection of places to eat and drink and a 7/11 and ATM close by, the sand is golden and the sea is pristine.
The lady who runs the Bungalows was very helpful, she assisted in booking our transport onwards to Bangkok and was also accommodating with the rooms when it came to things like changing towels and sheets etc..
The resort itself is pretty limited in size when compared with others on the beach which makes for a bit of a more private and tranquil experience, the other resorts seemed to cater more for families rather than long term travellers.
One downside was the onsite restaurant was a little overpriced, not massively but enough to prompt those on a budget to eat elsewhere.
We paid 700BHT for a fan room in high season which for a beach front hut was about as reasonable as we were going to get. (Most others were charging 800BHT -1000BHT plus)
Worth a visit if your in Ko Phangyan to chill out for a while,
